I bought these a little over a year ago and they have for the most part, held up very well. They were super easy to put together and I have all four assembeled within a half an hour. My one complaint, is that the little black wooden plugs that pop in to cover the screws have fallen out of almost all of their holes (and in most cases rolled right down the floor duct). In retrospect, I would have super glued them in place when assembeling them (a glue gun would have worked well). I distessed mine with an electric sander and they turned out great.

I purchased 4 of these about 2 years ago. 1 came that when put together wasn't level in the legs. Target replaced them and didn't want the bad one back. I have a large bar and a 60" sq dining table. So for the small grandchildren, I cut the legs down to just under the lower supports to a little higher than chair height. Makes a perfect extra seat for when they all come for sunday dinners. They have held up beautifully, no scratches as one person mentioned. Must be the kids jeans or the kids, but yes you can always paint them. We added some soft cushions to make them more comfortable for dinners. Enjoy!

I purchased these stools approximately 2 years ago for my rec/game room. They are holding up great. While people are playing pool, air hockey, etc., I now have plenty of seats for the spectators. My husband and his friend had no problems putting the stools together.

I just got these in yesterday. I put them together pretty quickly and they look sooooo expensive. The are exactly what I needed. You won't be dissapointed.

These chairs are very sturdy. The curve in the saddle seat is very comfortable! I would not pay any attention to the review re: them tipping with a child. That could happen with any stool.

This stool is great quality and has lasted years but it is top heavy and will fall over when a child tries to get off of it. It comes down hard and could seriously hurt a childs feet.

This stool is perfect: stylish and sturdy as well as easy to assemble. I love the smooth black finish with the slightly worn edges that give it character. Very comfortable.

These stools are pretty easy to put together and I really like how sturdy they feel. They have a great look to them as well, but the one thing I didn't see in the pictures was that they have a worn look to them- at least on the corners. I should have guessed that from the "antique Black" description, but they still look great. It gives them a really sharp look to them.
