The only thing I do not like about this stand is that it comes in 2 pieces (top half, bottom half). That wouldn't be a bad thing except that when you put the top on, there is a very clear seam right in the middle. It's hard to explain I guess, and you can't see it in the closer view on the site. But I do like it a lot. I had this empty corner that I couldn't really put anything in because it's just a weird spot. This is perfect for that area! The color is great, and it was very easy to put together, took me maybe 15-20 minutes, just due to having to attach all the shelves.

Viewed from far away, this is a nice bookcase. The construction, however, is pretty cheap.
The bookcase arrives in seven pieces (top and bottom halves, and shelves). The top and bottom halves attach with four pegs and three screws. The pegs are pre-inserted into the holes in the bottom half. Your job is to insert the bulbous end into the holes in the top half. The holes for the pegs on my bookcase were not drilled large enough. Neither I nor my husband was strong enough to force the pegs into the holes. I ended up removing the pegs from the bottom half with pliers and hammering them into the top half. Then it was easy to put the two parts together. They are not quite flush though - the top hangs over the bottom by a fraction of an inch.
My bookcase also arrived with several scratches and discolored places, but most of these are inconspicuous so I'm not returning it.
If I had to do it again, I think I'd pay more money and buy a higher quality product.

I needed to fill an area going up my stairs with something small yet noticeable. I knew I wanted some type of corner shelf and found this item. So I thought the price was good and I liked the color --- once I received it; I noticed it was a better grade of wood not the pressboard or plywood type; I did have a little difficulty assembling it but managed alone. Once I placed it and put all different sized candles; it looks great! Plus I've gotten several compliments about it!!!! Definitely would recommend purchasing it.

The bookcase fits nicely in the corner of my daughters room. The setup was fairly easy as it's 2 pieces that you put together. In order for there not to be any spacing between them I had to actually use a hammer to get a firm closure opposed to being able to just push the 2 pieces together. Other than that the shelves were easy to put up and screw in. I was able to get all of my daughters books on the shelves and her cd/radio on another one. The top shelf is VERY small but I had a figurine that fit there perfectly. All in all it's a very nice looking bookcase and only gave it a 4 for the extra effort in having to secure the 2 pieces together. We love it!

I bought 2 of these for the corners of my son's room on either side of his bed. It really gives the room a finished look and I'm pleased with the quality. The color is dark, as you would expect with Espresso. It matched his existing bedroom set perfectly. It's very easy to put together. It comes in two pieces that fit together with plastic dowels and mine didn't line up properly, but we figured out a work around.

This piece is just what I needed to give my bedroom a finished feeling. I had a corner of my room that looked very empty. I ordered this bookshelf and not it looks perfect. It was easy to assemble and looks great, even up close! The very top shelf is a little small but I was able to fit a small picture frame there. If you are looking for a finishing touch to that annoying corner that looks empty, this is it!

I love the color and the design. Unfortunately, one of mine was cracked in two places upon arrival. The cracks were at the pre-drilled screw holes. I really wanted these to work, they would have been perfect for either side of my large aquarium.
