Fine for knick knacks and such, but according to directions there's a max 10 lbs on each shelf. Quality not the best, especially for the price. Assembly went ok, there are however ALOT of screws. It's a little tricky attaching the shelves. Bottom line, once together and up it looked alright, but feel it's way overpriced for the quality of the product. If your looking for a sturdy bookshelf, look elsewhere.

looks much better online. this piece is junk!! the paint chips off very easily and the grooves were not lined up at all. not worth the money at all! DO NOT BUY!!

I don't know what the other people that wrote reviews were talking about. The shelf was not hard to put together. The brackets were already on the legs. All you had to do was add the shelves that already had holes. I did think it would have more space between the shelves but other than that it was fine. I also don't think it was worth [............]but I wanted it. To me the shelf didn't look cheap.

Too pricey for what it is. Sort of flimsy and I agree with the other reviewer that it looks better online. Is also smaller than it looks online. Looks ok from far away. I will not put anything heavy or breakable on it. It is a little hard to assemble due to the wood not lining up on the sides.

I bought this item because i thought it would compliment my house very nicely and looked stylish. After online shopping around, I found that the price was very reasonable. I've bought other items from Target.com before and have been very pleased. However, when i received the shelf.. there were so many screws, many of which did not work with my normal screwdriver. After assembling everything, one of the shelves didn't align straight and the entire shelf was not completely straight once stood up. After forcing the shelf together, I couldn't even return it because there was damage from the assembly. I would suggest purchasing a different shelf of higher quality, because i ended up just having to throw away my money and this shelf.

While the piece looks okay in the corner of my room, and I didn't return it, I probably wouldn't purchase it again. First, it is hard to put together. It doesn't allow for use of a normal screw driver, and the tool makes it take forever to insert the screws. Two of the drill holes were not in the right place for assembly (was able to get it together anyhow). It is not sturdy. And, the sides are two pieces, which is noticable. Probably makes it easier and cheaper to send, but doesn't look great. Spend a little more and get a higher quality piece.

It's not very sturdy and it is so hard to put together. It drove my husband crazy because there are over 80 screws!! I measured it for the space I wanted to put it in but it is definitely smaller than I wanted and pictured. It's cute from a distance but I will be taking this back to the Target Store to get a refund.

We bought this shelf in the store... not bad to put together, it took maybe 20 minutes for two people. For the price it's worth the money.
