We just bought this for my son for his 2nd birthday. It is made of nice large wooden pieces that he can control. Even his five year old brother loves it! This was a great purchase for an even better price.

I was happy to find a wooden tool set that did not cost an arm and a leg. But you get what you pay for. The lock fell off the first week and then it was downhill from there. The pins came out of the hinges. The gears came off the screws. The other problem is that you cannot use the screws without using nuts, which is entirely too complicated for my two year old. He does like to pretend he's using the hammer or the screwdriver, but you don't need to buy a workbench for that. Skip it.

I got this toy for my 2 year old son who loves to help daddy with hammering, screwing, and the like. He knows how to do it all, I thought he would love being able to do his own things with it. Unfortunatly the screws are too small for the holes and drop right through, as well as the nails. There is nowhere to actually connect anything that fits. Even if it did work, the screw driver and screws are very shallow and would be hard for any child to actually screw something on. We were so excited about the toy for my son, we took off the wrapper before trying it out and cannot return it, so we are stuck with a toy that my son cannot do anything with, it is a good thing he has an imagination because there is nothing realistic about this toy.

My four year old son LOVES this set. It's portable and retains his interest for a couple of hours at a time. The price was great for the quality of the toy.
