Facts and opinions

My husband and I were lost trying to find out which ASUS would fit us better but after many reviews, rating and research about the different types we decided to go with the 4GB 7in. Linux. We wanted something on the low end but with functionality and sure enough this does the job.

The 2GB would be the ideal price but found that you don't have the option to upgrade if you wanted to add windows xp, etc. Also found that it runs slower than higher GB. I have never heard of Linux so I wanted the option to be able to download windows xp just in case.

The 4GB 7in. Linux runs faster and has the option to upgrade and install windows xp. You get wireless internet but doesn't mean you will get connected all the time. I've had this laptop for 2 weeks and for 2 days I couldn't get on. That was frustrating but found and added other wireless connection and it works fine now. The internet runs fast which is a plus. The screen size is good. I can still see the screen like a regular sized computer. No tiny letters and that type of issues. Although you might have to adjust to the left and right a bit but not a big problem. The touchpad is better than any other I have used. It has the scroll bar right on the touchpad which makes life easier if you know what I mean. The Linux is also pretty easy to get around. Although I do miss the Windows functionality a bit. I am sure that I will get more advanced with Linux.

It comes with way more stuff than Windows. Games: Solitaire, Ltris, Mahjong, Soduko, etc. The Openoffice works like microsoft works etc. The battery life is about 2 hours. I turn mine off every time I am done. If you don't then you might feel like it's endless charging your laptop. It takes about 2 hours I believe to charge it back up. There are other advantages like being able to learn other languages, math, science, skool, etc. The keyboard is pretty easy to use as well. To me it's not that smaller than other laptops. My husband agrees that it's not bad either.

Another thing about Asus is that it's shock proof. I have two toddlers and if they should ever or like my husband who knocked it on the ground it still works fine. And about the option to install XP...now that i have the Linux I don't think I want to go back to XP again.

My husband and I will probably buy another Asus in the near future for me. I will probably get another color, I think these are so cute. My mother in-law even agrees. I know this might have been a long review but i hope this helps. I know I like to know my products before I make a choice and everything i have research i am sharing with you. Definitely worth the extra $100 for a 4GB.
