Best humidifier March 4, 2007 Reviewer:  DSH (NY)  See all my reviews >

I went through 3 humidifiers before finding this one. Yes, it is more expensive that most others, but it's worth it. Does everything is promises to do, doesn't require frequent cleaning if you use the heated setting, and it isn't going to stop working in a couple weeks.

Best humidifer October 9, 2008 Reviewer:  B. Gymnast "B. Gymnast" (Boston, MA United States)  See all my reviews >

I agree wholeheartedly with the previous reviews. I have had this model for over a year and I still think about how pleased I am with this purchase each time I use it. I have gone through several different types of humidifiers over the years - but this tops them all in terms of effectiveness, noise level, options, ease of cleaning and maintenance. I prefer the cannister over filters, too.

Love it! February 15, 2008 Reviewer:  Wannabmom (Roc, NY)  See all my reviews >

I received this humidifier as a gift this year and couldn't be happier with the product. One of the best features is the automatic shut off. This is the Porsche of the humidifiers. You may pay more for it, but it's worth every penny.

Worth the money! December 18, 2008 Reviewer:  Sarah C (Philadelphia, PA)  See all my reviews >

After having a bad experience with a $50 Holmes humidifier, I did some extra research and went with this one. It is more expensive, but well worth it. I love that I can set the humidity level I want and it shuts off when it gets there. I am a light sleeper and this has never kept me up and is pretty easy to clean and fill.

Love this humidifier February 4, 2009 Reviewer:  E. Nobis Real Name (San Diego, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

This humidifier rocks. It is expensive, but I think completely worth it.

I use it in my son's bedroom when he is sick or when the weather is just really dry (and it is dry a lot in San Diego (25% humidity or less sometimes).

It is quiet, easy to fill and though at first I was daunted by all of the buttons, I found they were easy to learn after one use. The warm setting heats up just enough and doesn't scare me like the cheaper humidifier I had used before, which seemed to produce scalding steam.

In fact, I'm online right now to buy another one for our bedroom.

Broken Canister After 3 Months March 3, 2009 Reviewer:  Christopher B. Beach Real Name See all my reviews >

The canister started leaking all over our floor after only 3 months and Air O Swiss is refusing a replacement. The warranty is for 3 months. They are counting the day purchased and not the delivery day as the beginning of 3 months, and so will not cover the cost of replacing the canister.

Works, but at a cost November 8, 2009 Reviewer:  A. Dennis Real Name See all my reviews >

We have had this humidifier for just under a month and are on our way to return it.
First the pros:
- It does a good job of raising the humidity of our room and even the entire house.
- It is extremely quite. Even on the highest setting you can’t really hear it.
- It can do either warm or cool mist.
- It warns you when the water level is too low.

Now the cons:
- It leaves a white dust everywhere! I had read about this problem in other reviews so we were very careful to follow the instructions. We soaked the filter prior to putting it in the humidifier and didn’t use softened water and we still had a white dust problem. The humidifier was in our bedroom near our DVD player and when we pulled out one of our DVD's to see why it was skipping we saw that it was covered in white dust. I can only imagine what the inside of the player must look like! I just dusted my entire house a day and a half ago and everything is covered once again. Normally, where we live, I only need to dust every few weeks.
- It makes the entire house hazy. Not even a humid haze, just a cloudy haze in every room even though we keep the humidifier in the bedroom. I am guessing that is the troublesome white dust.
- The area in front of the humidifier was soaking wet after a few hours. We had to lay a towel down and check it often to make sure it hadn’t soaked through. While I realize this is what happens when you are spraying water into the air, I had hoped that by setting it the recommended 3 feet off the ground that most of the water would go into the air not onto my carpet.

The instructions do say that if you have white dust issues to try distilled water, but we didn’t feel that buying 10 gallons a week (which is how much water we went through in our climate) of distilled water was really cost effective. I thought the pros outweighed the cons, and I could handle having to dust everyday, but now that is had ruined our DVD player I have changed my mind. Back to the store it goes!

The granddaddy of Humidifiers! March 6, 2009 Reviewer:  Recovered in Hawaii "Recovered In Hawaii" (Hawaii)  See all my reviews >

I'd been suffering from a cold/congestion that set off my asthma big time. After 4 weeks of not getting better we tried everything possible to get well. The doctor recommended humidifed air. Getting up the first morning after using this unit for only one night I had a marked improvement with my condition. After a few nights things continued to improve. I've now had this humidifer for two weeks and I can tell you I've never seen a unit put out such a volume amount of humidified air in such a short period of time. We chose to use distilled water for the shear output and zero maintain required on the unit. Simply the best and any cost...this unit rocks!

Expensive humidifier March 4, 2009 Reviewer:  Fun Mom "khryash" (MI)  See all my reviews >

Good humidifier bcoz you can monitor the humidity percentage you have in your home, and have cool and warm mist option. And it's so quiet, you can't hear a thing when its running. It's just kinda expensive 'coz you ONLY have to use EZCAL descaler & cleaner to clean its base for like every 2-3 weeks. And if you're only using tap water (they recommend using distilled water here), you have to replace the resin granules of the demineralization cartridge every 2 months or it will not work continuously.

Would review if I ever got it!!! December 16, 2008 Reviewer:  Karla D See all my reviews >

I was looking forward to my new humidifier.... I ordered it on Nov 23 and I am still waiting for it on Dec 16! I called customer service and it seems it is lost in transit and they said they could refund my money when it is returned to them... after stating how stupid that is... they said they will refund me. Good thing this was not a X-mas gift!!
