We ordered 2 of these items for our dining room. One came fine, but the other was broken. We returned it and requested a replacement. The replacement came 2 days ago and it is broken as well. Target was not going to allow a 3rd replacement because the item "might come broken again". However, they are because we already have one item and we need the second one for our dining room. Once it is put together it looks great...but I really hope our 3rd try is the charm for the 2nd buffet.

I absolutely love this buffet! It is big enough to hold all of my china. It looks very nice. It was easy to put together. I put it together by myself in about an hour and a half. Which is good being that I am 7 months pregnant. The buffet arrived in great shape. It was packaged very well. I think the price was great for what I got. I am very pleased with it.

I bought this buffet to replace an old piece and, having bought the American Simplicity pedestal table, thought it would be a cinch. Wrong. After struggling with screwing the top to the sides for several hours, I asked my contractor (who was doing other work at my house) to try his hand. It took him and his helper to "bull" it into square and get the screws in. All I had to do was put on the back and install the glass doors. Neither of which fits entirely correctly. The drawer doesn't go all the way in. Yeah, it's a reasonable price (considering) but you need to be prepared to struggle and settle. (Oh, and buy black shoe polish for when the wood splits as it acclimates to your house.) Sigh.

The item arrived in decent shape, just some scratches on the “wood” which would be easily fixed with a black sharpie. My husband (who is quite handy) spent approx 3 hours putting this together. At least half of this time was spent on the cabinet doors. There were holes drilled for the right door, but once he put the door on, it wouldn't close correctly. He eventually had to make his own holes. The left side had NO holes and he had to try and measure and drill his own holes. This side caused the most trouble and after trying 3 separate times, we gave up and realized that we wouldn't be opening the doors that often and just left it. They were crooked and you had to kind of lift it to get it closed. Then a month or so later, my husband noticed that the nails were coming loose from the left side, and eventually, that whole front piece (including the foot and the door) came off. I had to put some books under it to keep it from tipping over. We only ever got around to putting cloth napkins and napkin rings in this thing! Do not trust it with your [..]! We are returning it this weekend. Too bad...because otherwise it's a very nice looking piece! I also wanted to mention that the doors are clear glass, not mirrors as it looks like in the picture But for the price (which is currently more than I paid 2 months ago) the quality is horrible! Spend a little extra money and get a piece from a quality furniture store. I don’t think we’ll be buying furniture from Target anymore. However, we are happy with the matching extension table...so far. But, now I have to go and find another buffet/sideboard to match. Please steer clear of this item. I can’t say that enough. I just had to post since I saw that it had 4.5 stars…I couldn’t believe it.

We bought this to hold our DVDs and video games in our living room. When we took it out of the box we were optimistic, it felt heavy and of good quality. My husband and I spent 2 hours trying to put this together. The holes must be drilled wrong, we tried the pieces every way to try to make them fit and even tried not using some of the screws. Eventually (after about 2 hours) we had worked it enough to try to put the back on, it was totally wrong! I could fit my whole hand down the crack between the back and the top and when you looked at it the top looked slanted. We'd had enough, we took it apart, put it back in the box and it is going back to the store tomorrow! We will NOT purchase another, one wasted night was enough for us!

I had been looking at this piece on the target website on and off for a year, and was a little worried by recent reviews but in the end decided to go ahead and buy it. It came within a few days and though the box was a in little rough shape, none of the pieces were scratched. The drawer and base were pre-assembled, and the glass on the doors was already in place. All I had to do was attach the sides, top and back, screw on the doors and slide the shelves in. The instructions were pictures only, not much in the way of written help, but it was fairly simple to figure out and I got it together in about an hour without help from my husband. The top did have a wooden lip w/ a magnetic strip on it for the doors to close to that had already been screwed on but apparently fell off during shipping, but it was no problem for me to screw it back on (I used some wood glue for added strength). I am now using the buffet as a cabinet to display my grandmother's china and stemware and it looks great! I love it! I think it is a fantastic addition to my new home. All in all, I'm quite pleased with it.

I purchased this online and it came very quickly. I had a little trouble putting it together but my 9 year old grandson and I finished it in a couple of hours and I am not a carpenter!! Was very pleased with the outcome and the buffet looks more expensive than it is. I've had lots of compliments.

This is a great addition to my kitchen. It was fairly easy to put together. It took me a little over an hour. Everything went together perfectly. Easy instructions. It's very heavy & sturdy & large enough to hold 12 place settings & the serving bowls. The drawer at the bottom is just the right size for my table linens and place mats. I'm very please with the finish. There were a few very small nicks on the top edge, but I was able to rub them out with a finish that I had. All in all, a great piece for the price, plus - free shipping. I'm very pleased with this piece of furniture.
