I love the look and feel of these chairs, I had no problem putting them together. My only complaint is that they scratch very easily. I have to find pads to but on them to cover up the scratches on the seat of the chair.

I purchased these chairs approximately 110 days ago, just a few days over the "90 day return policy." I placed my hand on the back of the chair and it was quite unsteady. I then looked at the other chairs, and one of the chairs is actually splintering where the back of the chair screws in to the seat. Unfortunately, I'm just 20 days past the return policy, so like several other reviews I've read, I'm stuck with chairs that are actually unsafe.

I love the look of these chairs! I bought one set to go with the other American Simplicity style chairs and it really looked like it came from the other high end company's line. However, I was very disappointed when a guest leaned back in the chair and one of the cross back pieces cracked. The complete back of the chair came apart!
My guest was a person of about 120 pounds so it was not what I would consider an excessive amount of weight against the chair. I have glued it back together but I plan on ordering another set of the slatted back option.

We purchased these chairs and kept them in the box before we moved into our new home. The chairs look very nice, but are very poorly constructed. The wood dowel rods that hold some of the pre-constructed back pieces were not well built. Two chair backs broke almost the same place. Once the dowel point loosened, it must put too much pressure on the corner mortise and it breaks. Both chairs broke within a week of each other. After inspection of the other 2 chairs we have, it appears that they are about ready to break too. If you never touch the chairs, they look great, but with regular use, they will not last.

If you are looking for X-back chairs you may find a lot of these in other stores but you cannot find a better value for the price than Target. I went to another store where they had the same type of chairs and even though they were less expensive they also looked like kindergarten chairs because the edges where to round insted of sharp square looking. In yet another store they had the same price as this pair but Target offers extra discounts very often, so as I was about to purchase the other chairs these became 25% off. My only concern was that by the picture I could not tell if the finish of the wood was rough since the zoom doesn’t allow a clear close up, but they are smooth. Also Nice packaging and easy assembly.

I bought 6 of these chairs. They were in great shape, easy to assemble, and look great with my table. Plus, they are half the price of similar chairs at more expensive stores. I highly recommend them!

We have had the dining set with table and 4 chairs for 3 years now. They are great. Never had to repair or tighten anything. We get so many compliments on the set and people always ask if it's Pottery Barn. Highly recommended!

I looked at many before buying these...decided to take a chance and order these online.. site unseen. They are very nice, not cheaply made. I looked at some that were about this price for only 1 chair. Went together pretty easily too. Shipping was fast and they were not damaged.

I highly recommend these chairs. I purchased 2 chairs to try them out. I was concerned about how sturdy they would be. After the first 2, I quickly ordered 2 more. I am totally happy with them, as they are as good as any of the more expensive chairs that I have looked at - and I got 4 chairs for less than I would have probably spent for one.
