1 of the 4 chairs we ordered can not be assembled because of a misaligned hole. I would normally just whip out my drill but this is a hole that holds a nut inside in order to accept a threaded bolt. The seat width is adequate but the sloping back is not as comfortable as it could be. The 3 chairs that were assembled did not take much time to assemble and can be done by one person. Too bad the chairs are not available in the store, because shipping back is time consuming. As far as looks go the finish is fine, not too "distressed" and matches our Target table also with a black finish.

I bought 4 of these chairs and I put them together myself. The first two were easy to put together. The second set of chairs were a little more difficult for some reason - maybe a misaligned hole or something. After some fidgeting and tweaking I eventually got everything lined up correctly. I am so happy with the look of the chairs, plus the price, plus free shipping that I don't even care that it took more time to put together those chairs. They look great and they are sturdy. I am waiting on the black extension table. Hopefully I will be just as happy.

I just received these chairs to go with a table I bought at another store(wood tone). They are so substantial and look so much more expensive than they were. The color is beautiful and the "antiquing" is very subtle. They look beautiful with the table. I just love them. They were easy to put together and all 6 that I ordered were in perfect shape!! You will not be disappointed!

I purchased six of these chairs, and they are great! All six were easily assembled in two hours. The instructions were clear and simple. I placed my order online on Sunday and my entire order was delivered to my door on Tuesday. The chairs are made well - just what I expect from Target.

I purchased 6 of these chairs and am so very pleased with them, they were far below the price tag at other stores but the quality is as good if not better. Would highly recommend these as they are high quality solid chairs. They were easy to assemble all 6 were put together in a couple of hours. Super sturdy stunning chair.

I ordered 3 sets and plan to order another set today for a total of 8 chairs. I ordered them to go with another table I found. The chairs came in great condition and after putting the first chair together, the others went together much faster. The style of the chair is classic and the quality can't be beat for the price. Compared to another popular company, I feel like I got a great value but the look of great style.

I ordered six chairs to go around a dark brown table and i have to say it looks fantastic! The chairs are very sturdy except they do lose their screws every now and then. This happened to two different chairs in my set. The chairs were still sturdy as it was one of the screws that connects the support piece between the front legs and the back legs about halfway between the seat and the floor. Upon receiving the chairs, I would suggest taking a run to the hardware store and getting wood screws the next size up (in diameter) to have on hand should this happen to you.

The only other complaint that I have is that the chairs aren't 100% comfortable if you st back in them. It hasn't stopped us from lingering at the table after dinner for hours, however! Maybe it could be helped with cushions, if that's your thing. I have never heard any complaints from guests about it and my husband has never said anything about it either.

I was delighted with this purchase and I think that you will be, too!

I ordered these chairs in April of 2008. I got 15% off and free shipping as part of their ongoing furniture sale. The chairs arrived quickly and were well packaged. However, as I opened the packages, I found damaged parts throughout each box. I would set the damaged parts to the side and piece together the nondamaged parts. I ordered 8 chairs and was able to create 4. Target was great(!) to work with and sent me an additional 8 chairs right away, which allowed me to create an additional 4 chairs. I am keeping two with some minor damage. Target arranged [...] to pick up the returned chairs from my home.

The manufacturer's (not Target) quality control was obviously lacking. There were chairs with cracked & split legs, major scratches, unpainted parts, drip marks and chewed up wood. In some cases, it was obvious that they sent me someone else's returns (screws already inserted, dirty floor gliders, black marker repairs).

The chairs were pretty easy to put together. They are heavy-duty and seem pretty sturdy. The leg bracing sticks are a bit thin -- and I hope that my climbing two year-old doesn't break them. The chairs look really nice with my table. My husband thinks that the x-back is very comfortable. I think it is just okay. My back hits the horizontal bottom wood first. I have to slouch a bit to make my back conform to the chair.

The bottom line: I like the chairs and think they are a good value. It was worth it to me to work with Target to get 8 chairs that I am mostly happy with.
