Description
A slightly distressed finish and other vintage features make this Black Round Dining Set look like an elegant heirloom that has been passed down through the generations. The 42" round table has an ornate pedestal base, graciously curved feet, and a dark finish with luxurious sheen. The set of 2 solid wood dining chairs have crisscrossing back supports that form an"X," gently contoured 18" seat, and lovely carved legs with plastic bottoms to protect floors. Pair the chairs and table for a charming retro look(each sold separately). Some assembly required. Imported.

I love this collection. My table came in within the first week. The chairs took a little longer because they were on back-order, but they arrived sooner than I expected. All looked great and are very strong and sturdy. The table is only big enough to fit four, but I have it in the breakfast room. It's a perfect fit. I would love to purchase the wine tower shown in the collection, but I can't find it on Target.com. [...]

While my chairs arrived quickly, the table took over 2 weeks. The chairs are easy to assemble but take time and are very sturdy and decent for the price. Do not screw the legs completely in until you get the crossbar attatched. They are comfortable also.
The table is a different story. It came damaged (seems someone punched a hole in the box for easy carrying since it is a large awkward box)but that didn't matter because it scratches so easy you won't believe it. I had it flipped upside down on the carpet to assemble and when I turned it over the carpeting had scratched the surface. It is very sturdy and easy to assemble however I am affraid to put anything on it.

If you apply several coats of wood paste wax, found in most hardware stores, to the top of the table and buff with a soft clean terry cotton cloth..... when you first get your table home you will be able to eleminate most scratches and watermarks. The wax provides a very durable protective layer. You will need to apply the wax every few months but it provides a beautiful dull sheen on the table top that only adds to the antique finish from the factory. Like all furniture.... never drag your plates or glasses accross them. Great look and function for the price! Kudos Target for bringing style to those on a budget!

My husband and I just got married and registered for the Antique Black collection for our little apt. dining room. We have the wine rack and buffet table and they fit perfectly and are very functional. We've had compliments on the look as well. Assembly was no trouble and we are very happy with the pieces we have. I'm only bummed we can no longer get the sideboard table to complete our dining set (we had a dining table that's similar to this set before but it's not part of this collection, so we didn't replace it).

Table does not comfortably fit 6 people like it states in description. I love the look of the table but was really disappointed at the size.
