I love this fireplace! It looks amazing- exactly what is shown in the display picture, except there is no screen or grill (the assembly instructions give you the number to order it). The instructions were extremely easy to follow, and I loved that all the pieces were numbered and named with stickers. It made it easy to identify the pieces that were listed in the instructions.

This fireplace is so handsome. It really is substantial. Gave it a 4 star cause 2 pieces were delievered damaged. However, the company could not be more responsive in replacing them. Also, SO found the directions not to be the best. It looks great in the room.

It was very easy to assemble, only took about an hour to put it all together. It looks fabulous and very classy. Also, a great price. I looked other places and they were atleast [price] more. Puts off alot of heat which is great for our electric bill! This is definitely the focal point of the room - A great finishing touch for our recent inexpensive remodeling!

The instructions are poor, if you have no "skill" when it comes to building/assembling an item, you'll be very frustrated. The pieces don't really match up, at least not the way you would expect them too. You don't need a drill persay, but you don't have preexisting holes to aid in assembly. It's a difficult item to put together alone, you should really have a second set of hands to help. My mantel also came damaged. Probably the only reason I gave 3 stars is the fact that I didn't over pay for the item. A website sells this fireplace at $....00. If I had paid that, then I would give this product a one. It DOES look great, but if you look at it up close or were the one that put it together, you know it isn't anywhere near high quality.

While the overall look of this item is still nice, the overall quality is lacking. Less than half of the holes come pre-drilled (you'll need a drill and knowledge of how to use one w/out cracking the wood). Perhaps if all of the holes were predrilled the item would be square but its not so the pieces don't fit together properly. Also not mentioned on the product page is that the mantel has a 15 lb weight limit. Additionally the base & mantel came damaged and not as a result of shipping. I was sent replacements by the company however they sent me the wrong mantel, still waiting on the correct one/order correction.
