My 12 week old daughter loves this gym; but, we have had it about two weeks and the music on the star started dying so I changed the batteries to my dismay, the dying music continued and yesterday it stopped completely. :( My daughter still watches the lights but it looks like she is waiting for the music.... I hope I can get this replaced.

We absolutely loved this item for our 1 mo old. The star is awesome...until the batteries were going out. So we replaced them (with new ones!) only to find out the it sounded sicker than it did prior to taking the old ones out.

Our son still lays on the mat and is now reaching for the toys, but he looks up where the star was and wonders where it has gone.

I would have rated this item a 5, but so far its only a 3 until we can figure out the star ordeal. We'll have to contact the company to replace it I'm sure as it was a shower gift with no receipt.

My aunt bought this for my son when he was 3 weeks old but he did not enjoy it until he was 2.5 months or so. He LOVES this toy! We take it with us anytime we have to go anywhere cause it's easy to pack up and take along. We also take some of the toys off to take with us in the car. The star says it plays for 10 minutes and it doesn't. It's 5 or 6. But it's 100% worth the money!

I was looking to something to interact with and amuse my daughter. Being a 1st time mom, I wasn't sure what would meet her needs but she seemed to need something. I read the reviews on many and decided to try this one. I am SO glad I did. She loves it. The star is her favorite part thus far. She will wave her arms and hit the hanging toys and while we don't think she is intentionally hitting them she will smile and watch them swing back and forth. It's a great toy to get on the floor. The little mat is just enough padding to practice tummy time. This gym amuses her for about 30 minutes at a time. I highly recommend this!

This activity gym is great. It has bright colors that capture my sons attention, it has different toys (rattles, teething, plush,) that are interchangable, and it has a cute musical star that can be kicked to turn it on. My son isnt a big fac of the music, but he LOVES to look at the toys. The mirror is a big hit too. The material is very easy to clean and the gym is stored easily in a closet when its not in use. I would recomend this to anyone!

My son is 6 months old & has been enjoying this mat since he was just a few weeks old! The mat detaches & goes right into the washing machine and all of the toys are easily hand-washed. It's great for traveling-it folds in half really compactly-I just slide in it behind the frontseats of my Jeep. My son loves the toys on this thing-he plays on it several times a day & it is where he learned to roll over! I do have two problems with it though: the star plays music & lights up and has always been my son's favorite. It quit working after about 3 months (it was not a battery issue) so I called for a replacement which they sent me but it took several weeks to get it. Within several weeks from receiving the replacement it quit working again. I did not bother to call this time-my son still plays happily on the mat without the star but I am disappointed. I would have expected better. 2nd issue is a minor one-the little fabric loops that connect the toys to their plastic rings slip off the rings all the time. So anytime you travel with the mat you are at risk for losing toys-I have found them in my driveway, in my Jeep, etc. Overall, the mat is great & my baby enjoys it. Just don't expect too much from the star.

I purchase this activity gym when my son was born, he loved it and about two months later the musical & light up toy (SUN) stopped working for no reason. I changed the batteries, but it didn't help. I returned to the store for a full return (including shipping cost), and purchased the Infantino Lil' Lion's Happy Hangout Activity Gym. He loves it!

I agree with the other reviews... my little girl LOVES/LOVED this. She adored the star, the star was the lucky recipient of her first smile and laugh and she just cooed away when she would stare up at it, and a few weeks later it died. It still lights up but no music. It was so sad to watch her start to cry when it wouldn't play music. I heard they have them on ebay because you have to get on a waiting list for a new one.

I researched everything I registered for, so I'm not sure if there's a bad batch going around or what...My daughter is now 10 weeks old and started 'actively' using this playmat when she was about 7 weeks old, and like previous posters...the music in the star has already died. I contacted the company and they'll send out a new star, but it'll take 6-8 weeks and by that time my little one won't be interested in this anymore. We loved using the child-activated switch and it started to teach the cause-and-effect concept, but not anymore..We received it as a shower gift, so we didn't waste our money, but still it's someone's wasted money. Too much price for 2-3 weeks of fun. Oh and the material of the mat is very 'slippery' my daughters toes/feet would slip when she'd tried pushing herself up for 'tummy time.'
