Great toy! November 10, 2007 Reviewer:  Grandmom of two "Grandma B" (La Verne, CA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this toy for my 4 yr. old granddaughter and she loves it! I've had other cash registers before, but this one is nicer and she likes even better. The others broke quickly and she's not hard on toys at all, hopefully this one won't quit working.

Your Lil' One will Need Training August 7, 2008 Reviewer:  crystal starr "cstarr" (connecticut)  See all my reviews >

It talks, scans, it's pretty, and durable. But there is a lot to know to use most of the features, so I would say at least 5yrs and up. I was disappointed that it doesn't ding when it opens.

Not Bad November 15, 2009 Reviewer:  Mom of 4 and 5 year olds (Louisiana)  See all my reviews >

I bought this for my daughter for her 4th birthday. She and her five year old brother are enjoying it so far. It's not bad, but it does have a couple of little problems. The drawer does not close with the coins in the coin slots. I just told them not to close the drawer all the way and when it's time to put it away, we put the coins in the cash slots, which works. I think my kids may have already ruined the microphone from having it too close to their mouths (saliva inside - gross, I know, but it happens with little ones). I'm hoping it will start working again, as that's the main reason I bought it and the feature they seem to like the most. Overall, it's not bad for the price - a middle of the road kind of toy.

Way tooo complicated May 5, 2009 Reviewer:  unhappy nana See all my reviews >

First barbee will not be quiet, she talks all the time. The function on the register itself is way too hard to explain to a 4 or 5 year old. I bought it for my granddaughter and she mostly plays with the speaker part, as far as the money the quarters are way to big for the cash drawer.I would not recomend this as a learning toy for a 4 or 5 year old. Disapointed Nana

Too complicated March 23, 2009 Reviewer:  mom of two See all my reviews >

Way too complicated for kids. The drawer doesn't close when the coins are in. Very disappointed. The kids are done with it after 1 hour.

Coins does not fit! January 18, 2009 Reviewer:  Happy Wife (Norfolk, VA)  See all my reviews >

I brought this register for my 5 year old daughter and returned it. She was frustrated because the coins didn't fit in the drawer. She was also annoyed with Barbie constant talking.

However, she enjoyed the gift cards and microphone. I have to agree with others this toy has too much going on.

Just so-so January 4, 2009 Reviewer:  Ali See all my reviews >

My 5 year old daughter was very excited to get this toy. She loves the microphone and the cards that you can swipe through the register. The larger cards we could do without--they just make things confusing! Our biggest complaint is that the drawer does not close when you put the quarters in the slot where they belong. This is very frustrating. We have tried to just place them elsewhere in the drawer but then they get caught when it opens. We eventually gave up on the quarters! The only other thing that I know my daughter would like is if the handheld scanner actually did something. Overall, it is cute and my daughter does like it but I think that the Disney Princess cash register that we also have is much nicer.

Barbie Cash Register December 30, 2008 Reviewer:  The Hults "Hults" (NorthWest Indiana)  See all my reviews >

I have two disappointments with this toy:
1. The coins are too big to allow the drawer to close when put in their slots.
2. The register functions are not very kid friendly. I've been a chashier in the past and this is much more complex than a real register.
Other than that it's very cute and my daughter enjoys using the microphone...

Good Pick December 9, 2008 Reviewer:  Pleased Mom "Cortney B" (Chewelah, WA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this register for my 4 year old. She really likes it, but I found it to be a little confusing. It comes with several insert cards from which your child can choose what to purchase. This option I found to be the confusing part for her. She just likes to swipe the cards (included) and Barbie tells her what was purchased. The microphone attached is great, it really makes her voice echo!
