The best size

The 3 cup size is the best of these stovetop espresso makers. With practice, proper grinding technique, correct roast, and a decent heat source you can conduct the extraction in under 40 seconds and actually produce crema. The pressure is lower than a commercial machine, but the water passing through the coffee is about 93-95°C when properly packed. The 1 cup size does not produce enough pressure, and the 6 and 9 cup sizes take too long and the coffee oils degrade some. Be sure to pour into a lukewarm container when the process is nearly complete to prevent degradation. Use filtered or distilled water and clean after each use or you will plug the pressure valve and possibly corrode the bottom.

I purchased this expresso machine a few weeks back and have used it every day. I absolutely love it. it is easy to use and clean and brews the best cup of expresso anywhere in only a few minutes. well worth the price!

This is a great little stovetop espresso maker. My only regret is not having bought the larger version (probably 3 cup) so I can make the morning caffeine boost for myself and my husband at once. Easy to use and clean. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I've only had it a few months and think it needs to earn that last star over time!

As an expresso maker this little brewer makes the best with the least amount of hassle. Not much clean up and very easy to use. Only minor problem is that it is make out of cast aluminum and the edges can be sharp. Be careful when hand cleaning (NO DISHWASHERS unless you want your coffee maker to turn black). Washing the lower portion watch the edges. Otherwise a great little coffee maker.

The Bialetti Moka Express 3-Cup Coffeemaker is fantastic. I enjoy it immensely. Word of warning, don't forget to put water in it before placing on the stove! And if you have a gas stove with an open flame, do not use a flame that exceeds the size of the coffeemaker. The handle will melt.

I have had my Moka express for about 3 months, and I love it! I used to go to Starbucks 2-3 times a week, but this makes just as good, if not better, coffee at home. It is easy to use, easy to clean, I use it every day!

For the first time, I'm able to brew a cup of coffee I can really enjoy...espresso that tastes as good as what I can get at a coffee bar. It's simple to use and works really well. I'd recommend it to anyone!

I don't know that there is anything to add to the previous reviews, except that I just got mine in the mail, used it once, and it came out EXACTLY like Starbucks, of which I am a fan. I got the combo deal with the milk pot/frother, because I am a latte addict, but using them both made the PERFECT latte!! I don't have the expensive electric espresso makers, but I've heard these are easier and make better espresso. I had no idea what I was doing and now I don't know how much I will go to Starbucks :).

I bought a generic 6-cup stove-top expresso maker a couple of weeks ago and was very upset with the quality and taste of my expresso. As per a friends advice, I went down to my local target and picked up the Moka Express 6-cup... WOW! Literally... you can taste the quality!!!! 2 thumbs way up, highly recommend to all!!

I recently returned from a trip to Italy. I wanted to bring one of these pots back with me, but just couldn't fit it. I was thrilled when I saw that Target carried the Bialetti name (for even cheaper than in Italia)! I got the set that comes with the milk foamer - and, wow, it's REALLY close to the amazing caffee I had every day in Italy. I am in love with this and really glad I went with Bialetti (after reading the other reviews). It's delicious; you will never want electric brewed again (especially if you've been to Italy).
