I purchased this product 6 years ago when we purchased a new home that had mostly hardwood floors and ceramic tile. When my old Flip-It recently died from years of use my husband convinced me to purchase a "new" competitors product that promised results using only steam and I have used it for three weeks and hate it! I am going to actually purchase the Bissell Flip-It Select this time! If you have sealed real hardwood, this is the machine for you!

I love the Bissel Flip-It! My floors are so much cleaner since I am not reusing water;clean water is used with every swipe which makes a huge difference! The more I use it, the cleaner my floors get as it gets down to the grime layer by layer. I used to have to scrub and scrub to get my floors clean, but now the floor is just as clean in less than half the amount of time. I feel confident in letting my little ones crawl on the floor, finally!

In reading the reviews i was surprised anyone gave this a low rating. Mine has worked well for many years and gets my tile in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room clean every week. The water in the return tank is black with dirt and full of other debris. I only use it on the wet setting. It recently started to lose suction and I cleaned the intake nozzle and it works great again! Our dog had some serious health issues two years ago - she wound up peeing all over our tile for months while she was recovering...this product worked through her whole recovery process and helped us keep our sanity with keeping the floors clean. The power cord is extra long so i only have to switch outlets once for a large area. Unless they have switched the design in the newer models - this one is a hard working, well-built machine from years back!

I bought the Flip it in the hopes of ,my all tile house, not being such a chore to sweep and mop. I opened it and as soon as it was out of the box it didn't work. I tried the vacuum part. There was so little suction that even after I had swept the dirt into a pile and placed the Flip it on top, it still didn't suck the dirt up. I thought maybe the mop part would be better but all it did was push dirty water all over my floor. I actually had to mop after using it, because my floor was so dirty and sticky. I ended up throwing it away because all the little pieces fell off and couldn't be found to return it. Don't waste your money!!! You'd be better off with a vacuum and a mop!!

This is not meant to be a Dyson vacuum cleaner. If you want this just for the sake of vacuuming, you should invest in a Dyson. I have one for my carpets and it is really the last vacuum I will ever purchase (it's just so good that me and my husband both love to use it). The Flip It is fantastic for dry vacuuming the kitchen, bathrooms and all hard wood surfaces. I have a cocker spaniel who loves to run out to the yard all day long. Everytime I let him back in, he manages to get mud tracks and leaves throughout my kitchen. The Bissel Flip It is so easy and light that it makes it a breeze for everyday use. If you want sanitary and clean hard floors, this is an excellent value. I wish they'd come out with more formulas for this machine, in fact! I've used the Clorox Wet Mop and the Swiffer Wet Jet, but these are flimsy and not sanitary at all. They never really cleaned my hard floors so I gave up on them.

This little machine has been a great help to me. I've had it for several years, and it just keeps on cleaning. I think the person who couldn't get it to work must have been doing something wrong because mine does a great job. I use it on ceramic tile, and it does a wonderful job everytime.

i think there is a learning curve to this vacuum. once you get the hang of it - it is GREAT! you do have to empty and rinse the tank after each use or it will smell, but so far that is the only downside to it! i use it every day!

I am usually a fan of Bissell, but I would not reccomend this at all. The suction is not good and has a tendency to leak water and smell after use, unless emptied completely. I tried to use it on my laminate flooring and the cleaner leaves a cloudy residue and because it doesn't suction well I don't feel that it's safe to use on laminate, which can be damaged by standing water. It has been sitting in my closet untouched for months. Instead I reccomend the low tech (powered by old fashioned elbow grease) o mop by method along with the almond scented floor cleaner. Not only does it smell great, it leaves my floor residue free and shiny.

I have had this cleaner for over two years and I still love it. I loved it enough to by it for my mother who also loves it! Must have for hardwood floors, bathroom, and kitchen floors. Sucks all the dirty water up instead of just pushing it around.
