It won't hold water April 6, 2009 Reviewer:  C. Brooks (Norwood, OH)  See all my reviews >

I used this once and it did work nicely and dried quickly. The next few times I tried to use it, it leaked like crazy from the clean water tank. I was unable to use it because the water just kept pouring out of it. I would not recommend this machine.

JUNK July 11, 2009 Reviewer:  Dachshund Dad "Joshua S" (North Texas)  See all my reviews >

This is a piece of JUNK, I didn't even use it ONE time! The water/cleaner does not come out of the fresh water tank. The paint roller on the bottom runs even when the tools are used. Water does come out of the fresh water tank when the tools are in use. However, the hose doesn't have enough power to collect the water and leaves puddles. I called Bissell and the rep was very rude and told me to drive the unit 35 miles to an authorized repair center. I will be driving it 2 miles back to Target and WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BISSELL PRODUCT AGAIN!

carpet cleaner? May 20, 2009 Reviewer:  un-happy w/bissell (usa)  See all my reviews >

Useless as a carpet cleaner. This is a joke, it's just a floor buffer. Won't clean your carpet unless you use the hand tools. Does a great job if all you have is a floor! Will leave it nice and dry, but all this does is squirt the solution on the roller and suck the liquid off the roller, works on your carpet worse than a damp mop.

ProDry Regrets May 11, 2009 Reviewer:  Disappointed Clean Freak "Michelle" (TX)  See all my reviews >

I bought this cleaner because I wanted to shampoo or wet clean my carpet and ceramic tile without all of the dry time. Big mistake. The cleaner does not spray solution evenly or even all of the time. Half of my carpet gets wet. Half stays dry. The troubleshooting tips say to turn the cleaner off and on again to prime the spray pump. I have to do that between every carpet stroke. I have had little luck with spot treatments using the tools. A toddler and two dogs leave a lot of messes to practice on. I wish I had returned it immediately and bought a Hoover Steamvac. My carpet and floor would be clean right now.

Save your money July 21, 2009 Reviewer:  Unhappy Customer (Seattle WA)  See all my reviews >

This machine is a piece of junk. The only way it will get spots out of carpet is to scrub it with the hand tool. It does not clean anything but the top surface of the rug. If you have pets or any liquid spills that soak into the carpet, forget it...they only way to clean it up is with the hand attachment. The only good thing I can say about it is that it does leave the carpet fairly dry.

Can not deep clean carpet with a paint roller! May 10, 2009 Reviewer:  Joe Consumer "Joe C." (Reno, NV)  See all my reviews >

I bought this carpet cleaner somewhat skeptical of the cleaning brush it used. As opposed to standard bristle brushes, this unit uses a "paint-roller" style brush. The solution is sprayed directly onto the brush instead of the carpet, which is supposed to then deep clean the carpet. The vacuume then pulls the liquid off the brush and what little actually transfers to the carpet. The benefit of this is that it lets the carpets dry extremely fast, but does not do an effective job pulling surface spots off the carpet, let alone deep stains or effective deep cleaning.

One nice feature of this unit is that it does a nice job with the tools for cleaning upholstery and furniture. It also has motorized wheels, which is something you usually do not see with inexpensive carpet cleaners.

The unit does okay for very light carpet cleaning, but if you need serious deep cleaning there are better options out there with bristle brushes for lower or the same price.
