No need for extra backage with expensive bulk December 11, 2007 Reviewer:  Amazon Shopper See all my reviews >

Before I make purchases, I research...and research...and research until I indulge in the final decision. With the purchase of my first house, the carpet was in bad need of care. It was so neglected, we almost came to the decision to replace the whole thing. However, with toddlers in the picture, the best solution was to keep it for what it's worth, and replace it in the future when the kids are older.
I've seen so many purchases being made on the bulkier deep cleaners. The machines take too much space and lugging it up the stairs didn't seem worth the buy. So, after a long debate we chose this model because for $20 more this machine offered a rotating brush. Brought the machine home, assembled it in less than 10 minutes, and had a 10x9 room cleaned in less than 45 minutes. I've used bulkier machines in the past and by far this machine does the same work but is 85% lighter to use.

Great cleaner! March 21, 2007 Reviewer:  Happy Dog Owner (Minneapolis, MN, USA)  See all my reviews >

After having our puppy for a month, our carpet looked terrible. I wanted something that was affordable and light weight. After reading the other reviews I went to the store and bought this. I pre-treated the spots and then used very hot, but not boiling water. It not only got out every stain, but our carpet looks new again.

Pretty Good and Affordable January 18, 2007 Reviewer:  Tambre C. Moten "Mommy of 1" Real Name (Columbus, Ohio)  See all my reviews >

Have some patience, but this does get the job done, my daughter destroys my Carpet with juice, syrup and whatever else she can get ahold of! The first time I wasn't impressed, but once I got the hang of it, I was surprised at how such a compact thing could clean that well. the trick is to take it slow, I first spray run the cleaner up and down the floor while spraying and then used the brush to concentrate on the stains, the deep cleaner in the spray bottle is good to pretreat the heavy stains!

OUTSTANDING Product October 8, 2007 Reviewer:  Blink-99 "Blink-99" (California)  See all my reviews >

This unit performs exceptionally well. This shampooer is easy to use, and is surprisingly quiet. Water extraction is excellent. I really like the fact that I can stay clean when using this unit; even when emptying the dirty water receptacle. I STRONGLY recommend this unit -- It is even better that my old 'green machine' -- something I had NOT expected with an upright unit!

Woah! Check It Out! My Carpet Is Green? February 3, 2008 Reviewer:  The Rook (St. Louis, MO, USA)  See all my reviews >

Full marks for this device. Reasonable in price, simple enough to use, sturdy enough to be lifted by the handle with out plastic creaking and bending, small enough to be at home in my 670 ft/sq apartment, enough finger space and detachable panels for cleaning inside the device and its tanks, and does it's job well enough to surprise one about what one's rugs actually did look like before a year or two of use.

In short, it's enough to warrant my 5 stars; and that's coming from a bachelor who wears black soled hiking lugs on his carpet, keeps a almost black cat who sheds fur like a duck sheds water, comes home covered in soil from horticulture courses, and invites his dirt-ball compatriots over who leave droplet sized trails of beer and soda on the carpets.

A few other notes... This thing will pick up stuff normal vacuums won't, I'd guess because with moisture involved there isn't much static electricity. Worth a pass or so with it now and then with just hot water when your dry vacuum cleaner fails to cut it. You might hit the worked-upon space with a dry vacuum cleaner afterwards as this device can leave little fiber and pet hairballs if you don't feel like cleaning it often enough when used on really dirty and neglected carpets. Also, I find it best to run a fan over the carpet to help it dry quickly.

Overall, very impressive for $90 retail. I'd recommend this to whomever asked.

great February 6, 2008 Reviewer:  Sasha (FL United States)  See all my reviews >

wonderful little machine,i was disgusted looking at the water after cleaning my carpets, this pulled up so much dirt that i didnt know was there LOL but the carpet dried in no time after using it and its easy to clean out. i had to change the water a few times but thats to be expected, ive found using a 12cup coffee pot makes the perfect amount of hot water for this.

Easy to use and light October 14, 2008 Reviewer:  Honest Hannah (Atlanta)  See all my reviews >

The lack of complexity along with being light-weight endears this steamer to me. I had a full size steamer vac which I sold at a garage sale for a tenth of it's cost after using twice. This QuickSteamer is perfect for me. I used it the first time with just hot water to remove left-over slimy soap a carpet cleaning service had left on our carpets. You can see the filthy water being suctioned through the front plastic on the front. I am very satisfied with mine. I gave it 5 stars because it is well worth the price.

new wife June 29, 2008 Reviewer:  New Bride "Mrs. H" (Dallas, Texas)  See all my reviews >

We got this to clean up after our new puppy, and it works great. I would reccomend buying this product. It is a good deal for the price. It works on new stains, but if you use it three or four times you can get out the set in stains.

Great Investment February 19, 2008 Reviewer:  Kelly in DC "Kelly S" (Washington DC)  See all my reviews >

I originally bought the [more expensive] version about 6 years ago. It was left at my mom's during a move and we haven't been back to get it yet. I was desperate to get some spots cleaned and broke down and bought this version based on reviews. I honestly have to say it works better than my more expensive unit! The only difference is that it does a 8 x 8 area before you have to refill. I am very happy with my purchase. If you want to do a much larger area (like rooms) I would buy the more expensive Bissell. But if you need to clean up after a 4 year old and a dog, you can't go wrong with this.

Bissell Quicksteamer Powerbrush October 25, 2008 Reviewer:  Ciao "Paula M." (Philadelphia, PA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this product 2 years ago and was impressed at the way it cleaned, although there are no attachments for stairs or upholstery. The brush recently stopped turning, so I brought it into an authorized Bissell service store. The pin that holds the belt was bent (design problem, not strong enough), and the serviceman said that it's not worth fixing. I saved 100s of dollars using this for the 2 years after just paying [..] for the machine, however I think that a machine like this should last more than 2 years. I really only used it every 2 or 3 weeks on 2 or 3 rugs at a time.
