Rock and ROLL! December 7, 2008 Reviewer:  SP (FTB)  See all my reviews >

I bought this about 4 months ago because I had a cat that was sick and would urinate in odd places (yes, gross!). I was at the point that I was going to rip the carpet up and put down hard flooring (which we cannot afford). I have used it almost daily since then (I also have another cat, a dog and three kids) and this thing ROCKS! I LOVE how you don't have to use elbow grease to get any stains out. I really got this for odor control and boy does it ever work. The only downside is that it doesn't suck the water out of the carpet well enough for my taste which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 but I quickly run the hand attachment over it and voila! Clean! Just a tip....if it is pet odor/stains you are working on, try adding a little white vinegar to the solution. It will pull the smell out of your carpets and not leave a vinegar smell behind. Yes, it does leave "crop circles" in the carpet but they come out when you vacuum. Our cat has since passed away, but this helped me keep my sanity during that time.

FYI.......... January 28, 2008 Reviewer:  MaryL (Chattanooga TN USA)  See all my reviews >

I also did some research beforehand and have used mine with not quite as much "shampoo/cleaner" as it calls for if it is a current stain and have used the manual wand to get up any excess water if it was in an area we were walking in and I have found this machine to be excellent. I have 2 dogs, an older one who spits up occasionally and a tiny one who can't always wait till we get home and stains were driving me crazy because we just got new carpet (in 23 yrs) partially because nothing we ever tried before really made a big difference (if you leave too much "shampoo" in the carpet it attracts more dirt and our previous pad was not waterproof). I am happy to say this one does work well, it did get out previous stains as well as the current ones. Because it is easy to use my kids even go and get it and quickly get out the stain. The people who have bought it and have a problem with it here and other places I've read seem to have a problem with the seal on the collection tank. I don't know if it is a defect with the seal or if it is not sitting on the seal correctly. If I were them I would just swap it for another one at the store, and definitely read the directions before starting.

Performed poorly, but maybe it was a defective one... June 28, 2007 Reviewer:  J. Nelson Real Name (TX)  See all my reviews >

I just bought this one at Target last night after reading the reviews of the same model without the pet in its name (bissell spotbot). I got it and put it right to work on a very recent throw up stain on the carpet (only a couple of hours old). I set it on "surface stain" as it was on the surface and had not sunk deeper. I put it to work and came back when it was done and the stain was still visibly there. I then put it on the "set in stain" function and did that twice, but the stain was still visibly there. I was not impressed with this item as it could not even remove a new stain. So i tried it on old urine stains on the carpet and it did nothing. I am not sure if the one I got was a defect because I used it for over 10 cycles and no water came into the dirty tank. It did not work at all for me, so I took it back last night. You might want to give it a shot but it did not work for me. At the same time as I bought this one, I bought the Bissell Spot Lifter (with the cord because it was on clearance at the store), and it got out all the new throw up stains the other one could not get out, and it was only $28. It improved the old urine stains, but did not completely make them disappear. But for $28 it did a LOT more then this one for $130! I am going to try a different formula in the SpotLifter tonight and I am trying the Bissell Little Green.

Purple thingsy January 15, 2009 Reviewer:  Josha "WhoaDood!" (Dallas)  See all my reviews >

This thingy is good. Pulls out taco and runs around room shouting "down with hot shorts" all day long. I find my eyes grow weary from neato color scheme and clear paper-plastic toilet bowls on Friday. Dust piles up under my pillow and this glue dog freak show pukes up and thingy jumps on it cleaning like mad while purring "dandilions are America's answer to normal people, for sure"!
What a trip. My brain pan flips and dips over this thingy.
Yeah!

Best purchase I have ever made! December 13, 2007 Reviewer:  sholdener2 (Illinois)  See all my reviews >

I love my spotbot. I have 2 dogs, one being a puppy who is still learning to use the potty outside. I have a 2 year old daughter who is constantly making messes also. This product has saved my brand new carpets! I use it everyday at least 3-4 times. I have had this for about 7 months now, and no problems with it. I have used it to shampoo my couches, shampoo the carpets in my car, shampoo my stairs in my house, and so on. I love the set it and walk away feature. I have so much going on in my house that I don't have time to clean up something every time a mess happens. The only thing I do suggest doing, is when the cycle is done, take the hose and manually suck up the rest of the water. It helps the carpet dry quicker by leaving less water on the floor. Also it prevents the machine from leaving a circle spot on the floor. I love this and would recommend it to everyone.

I heart my SpotBot! December 22, 2008 Reviewer:  Shanrog (Londonderry, NH)  See all my reviews >

NOTHING is worse than the sound of hacking dog or cat in the middle of the night. I received this as a gift for my wedding shower and use it all the time. With a 120lb yellow lab and cat, there is not one stain this machine has not picked up for us!

Money WELL SPENT!!! September 2, 2008 Reviewer:  Big Fan "Missy G" (Manassas, VA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased the Bissell spot bot pet because I got a new puppy who was having lots of "accidents" during her paper training. Since I live in an apartment I was concerned about all the "spots" preventing me from getting my deposit back. I considered alot of full size steam cleaners, and finally decided the Spot Bot pet might be a good investment.
I absolutely love it!! I couldn't wait to try it out when I got home. I picked the most set-in stain I had and put it to work. By the time it was over the stain was completely gone!! The carpet looked brand new! I immediately set about erradicating all the other "spots" in the apartment. It worked wonderfully!
The only issue I have is that it uses ALOT of water and solution. The little "sample" bottle included only cleaned two spots. I think it's a good idea to buy a couple spare full-size bottles *which I did* so you can get the full affect.
My fiance can't wait to borrow it and try it on his juice and soda spills!
I definietely reccomend this product for anyone with pets, kids, or fiance/husbands. :o) It's well worth the money!

Where has this been all my life?!?! Worth every cent! June 29, 2008 Reviewer:  ChickenGirl "Christine" (Seattle~Coffee Heaven)  See all my reviews >

3 cats, 1 of them elderly= lots of hairballs/messy spots in our house. Oh and a German Shepherd who eats stuff she shouldn't= mess here and there, too. We have hardwoods with huge throw rugs down over them. My husband was very skeptical the PetBot would work or be worth the $$ (i got mine on sale at Target [...]). We put the SB on the berber area rugs and like many other reviews stated, we watched it for the first trial run to see how and if it would work. WOW!!! You cannot even tell there had been a stain on the light cream rug! Fantastic! WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?? I cleaned 1 entire 8x12 rug and you cannot even see where the stains where or that they had been set in. I also used the hand tool and went back over the spots where I had cleaned and it sucked up more of water. So maybe that is a tip? My husband and I were laughing asking why we had waited so long to get one of these? We have a full sized Bissell carpet cleaner that does an excellent job also, but this PetBot is even better at getting up the set in stains. Really a great little machine!

Incredibly happy customer June 12, 2008 Reviewer:  Somni "somnium" (Illinois, USA)  See all my reviews >

When we first moved into the apartment that we are in now, our cat had huge problems urinating in places she wasn't supposed to. I must have tried every cleaner on the market, and frequently rented the carpet cleaner from the grocery store down the street. None of them seemed to get it completely out, which just perpetuated the problem. We bought this a few months ago and it has been amazing. It does take a lot of product to fill up a tank (we can do two set-in stains with one tank of water/cleaner, with a bit of liquid left over), but the results are phenomenal. I even got out dirt/spill stains that were in the carpet already when we moved in.

Edit: I've become a little more stingy over time with the cleaning product since the Bissel gobbles up so much of it. A tank of water or mixing white vinegar with water can also do the trick, depending on what is being cleaned up.

LOVE IT February 5, 2009 Reviewer:  C. Thomas Real Name (Boise, ID)  See all my reviews >

I have been having problems with one of my cats peeing on the carpet. I tried everything, I even ordered stuff from online. That helped some but after using this product I don't know what took me soooooo long to get it, plus it is so easy to use. I had to call my sister at work to tell her how wonderful it was, and that I couldn't wait to try it on a stain on her carpet. I would recommened this product to anyone.
