absolutely terrible

Reviewer:  unhappy buyer  (Princeton, NJ)  See all my reviews

Grind is totally inconsistent - basically unusable.
I actually had to grind it again with another grinder in order to use. Selecting medium or fine setting made no real difference; the grind still came out inconsistent and unusable.

Bought yesterday, returned today. This may be very inexpensive for a burr grinder (reasonable price), but in my opinion it is a complete waste of reasonable price+gas.

I don't normally write reviews, but this product was so bad that I felt morally obliged to write one now - emptor caveat

Total waste of money

Reviewer:  Coffeeguy24  (Chino CA)  See all my reviews

I purchased this grinder in store about 4 weeks abo. I grind coffee about 2 a week. The grinder started of grinding fine and has slowly progressed to where today the smallest grind setting produced particles about 1/4 of the bean. totally worthless for coffee making and when you regind them nothing changes. I suppose that next week the bean will pass by the grinding teeth completely untouched.

better grind for good tasting coffee

Reviewer:  coffeeguy "Coffeeguy"  (USA)  See all my reviews

Yeah...they're loud...and a little slower than blade grinders...but for the cost, this gives everyday coffee drinkers a more consistent grind for a better tasting brew. I have been happy to have mine! for the price, it's a good grinder and has not given me any problems!!! (i've used it for 6 months now)

Just Say NO!

Reviewer:  MTowersGirl  (Alexandria, VA)  See all my reviews

Bought this because my last two "bullet" shaped, blade grinders burned out after just a few years use. Thought this type might be better. I do truly wish that I had bothered to read reviews of the product prior to purchase! It does not do a good job of grinding AND it clogs during every grinding. Bad, bad, bad. Might be good for those who only want COARSE ground beans ... ?

This time you do get what you pay for

Reviewer:  Coffee lover "J R"  (Merced CA)  See all my reviews

I bought this little grinder for our office staff. It looks great and was priced right, but not up to the task for espresso grind even when using the finest grind setting. I had to pour the grounds in a second time just to get an auto-drip grind. If you use a percolator this might work for you. Everyone else, steer clear of this unit. My Braun burr-mill at home grinds beans to fine face powder, this one only spits out coarse grit. Needless to say, I am taking this one back today. Invest in better quality unit, it will be worth every penny.

I wanted this to be better than it was

Reviewer:  MK "Friday Sale Shopper"  (Los Angeles, CA United States)  See all my reviews

This machine is easy to use, the container tends to be a little messy and it occasionally spits grinds out the front. It does a perfect coarse grind for me and the one time I used it on fine, it seemed to work beautifully. However, after about 10-15 grinds, the button got stuck inside the unit and the machine stopped working. (Even after I pried the button out). I went, exchanged it and got another, flash forward to about 9 days later. The button on the new unit got stuck again!!
I pried it out, this time it still works but I am taking it back anyway. I don't think I could recommend this unit.

Can't and won't grind fine enough for espresso.

Reviewer:  Max Torque  (Orlando, FL)  See all my reviews

I set the grinder to the finest setting and was looking forward to a cup of espresso. I got weak coffee. This grinder is not capapable of an espresso grind. If you want coffee for a drip coffee machine, this may work for you. If you are looking to make espresso, don't waste your time or money.

You would be better gnashing the beans with your teeth.

Reviewer:  EspressoMom  See all my reviews

My husband and I chose this coffee grinder because it has multiple settings and it ground into a seemingly tidy container. We were very disappointed. It never ground the beans even as fine as a regular drip brew would require, so it was much too coarse for our espresso machine and once you try to use the grinds it spills everywhere.

We have only had it for about a week and it is already broken. You would be better off gnashing the beans with your teeth.

What a waste of time! Broke the first time I used it!!

Reviewer:  Savvy Sav "Mariah"  (San Francisco, CA)  See all my reviews

I was so excited about this grinder, got it home, set it up on the counter, put a some beans in it.
Hit start.
The button, which you have to hold down to operate, got stuck inside of the machine!!
I had to unplug it to turn it off!!
This is a piece of doodie!
Don't buy it!!!! Target shouldn't even keep selling this.

Don't Bother

Reviewer:  Teresa B  See all my reviews

Had to return this grinder because all the grind settings were the same! I could not get a fine grind no matter what I did - even re-grinding and re-grinding!
