Black & Decker let me down with this one. First of all, the iron leaks – even if you fill it to it appropriate max line – this was since day 1. When you set it to “Steam,” its steam just stops working/cuts off even if there’s still plenty of water in it. The area where the water resides in is very unclear to see, so you never really know if you have enough water in there or not. This iron is way too expensive for all its kinks. Very disappointed.

Excellent Steam, Adequate heat...but what good is that if it's leaving a trail of water right behind it?? I haven't had it 24 hours and have to replace/exchange it.

This item was left on my registry so I went ahead and bought it because we needed a good iron. This iron is amazing! It does a great job and it's easy to figure out how to work it! I highly recommend!

I have always bought the more expensive brand iron no matter how often i have had to replace it but after the third time this particular iron of mine broke I decided to try a different brand. I was very skeptical to say the least. This iron is a little bit heavier and it does not glide as easily compare to what I am used to. However the iron heats up quiet quickly and there is no leaks when the iron heats up. The price is half of what i usually pay and so far the iron works great. I hope it last longer than than my other iron.

When my iron of many years died, I agonized over its replacement. (I use my iron a lot.)
Many people were happy with the Black and Decker iron but commented that it was a bit heavy. I brought home from my Target store that iron and the D5500 and held each one. Indeed the was a bit heavy. And so I just decided to go for it and spend [more money].
I have had the iron for about three months now and really love it. Great pressing action and just the right heaviness for me.
