Not impressed! July 8, 2008 Reviewer:  Happy Girl "Erin H" (Raleigh, NC)  See all my reviews >

Well, I have tried every bottle that is out there and when I heard about all the BPA mess I decided to do what would be best for my baby. I returned all of my bottles and spent A LOT of money on these expensive bottles. First of all, the nipples are made with a very thin, flimsy silicone. When I am feeding my daughter the nipple colapses inside the wide neck and gets stuck until I take it out of her mouth and it rises again. Also, because of its flimsiness if I am trying to put the nipple in her mouth and she doesn't have her mouth open far enough and hits her lip the nipple flops to the side...it is not strong enough to put in her mouth for her. The only reason I gave it the rating I did was because it is BPA free! I really think this company is taking advantage of parents that want the best for their child. How dare they charge $10 for a bottle that requires a two piece vent system and flimsy nipples. About the $6.99 vent systems...if you buy a 2 or 3 pack of bottles...guess how many vent systems you get?? ONE vent system! Another way they "get you", I purchased a 3 back of 9 oz. bottles and by the time your baby is drinking over 5 oz. they are old enough for a #2 or #3 nipple...what number nipple do you get with the 9 oz. bottles??? #1 nipples!

pros and cons July 16, 2008 Reviewer:  Mom to 3 Boys (Detroit, MI USA)  See all my reviews >

Overall, this is a decent bottle, but certainly some things to improve. I had the Advent bottles with my first two and decided to purchase BPA free with my third.

Pros
-- Doesn't leak, even when traveling
-- BPA free
-- Nice soft nipples

Cons
-- nipple collapses if collar is too tight (solved by loosening the collar slightly, but frustrating for mom and baby!)
-- size 1 nipple is provided with 9 oz bottles (typically too slow for a baby that is already drinking more than 5 ounces). Need to purchase size 2 nipples separately.

If you're just going BPA Free May 5, 2008 Reviewer:  Courtney Gendron Real Name (Charlotte, NC United States)  See all my reviews >

Save your money and buy Gerber's BPA free bottles or Parent's Choice.

The Born free bottles have a great design, but are a little pricey.

Great Bottle, Buy Different Nipples September 23, 2008 Reviewer:  Lisa Roa "nurselisa_99" Real Name See all my reviews >

I tried every bottle I could find when it became apparent that breast feeding was not going to last forever for me and my son. He threw up both times I tried Dr. Browns with him, Avent bottles were good but had BPA in them, and this one was great. The Born Free nipples are not stiff enough for my son to get a good latch on them. I use Avent nipples with this bottle, which is no big deal because the newborn nipple that comes with the bottle is too slow for him anyway and I would have had to buy other nipples. The nipples are very similar to Dr. Brown's wideneck nipples, which are cheaper if you like them. Also, I like that you can buy the trainer cup spouts and handles so you can keep using the bottles. I recommended these to my friends who had a 4 week old when it also became apparent that breastfeeding would also be short lived for them. Their daughter does well on them also, but she uses the nipples that came with the bottle, so it could also just be my son in particular. Don't spend money on other bottles in my opinion, just buy these and be happy :)

Great! May 21, 2009 Reviewer:  Janalle Sommer-trigo "Janalle" Real Name (PR)  See all my reviews >

These are the best. I have never had one leak. I was using drop ins and they are just not as good, at all. You can tell these are quality when you use them.

best on the market April 23, 2009 Reviewer:  A. Richards (Washington State)  See all my reviews >

I got rid of all of my avent bottles, which I had used for the past 15 years with all of the children. We switched when we learned about how we should keep things with recycling code 7 away from children. I was not willing to use glass and so this was perfect.

It was a little awkward figuring out their system at first, but after the first 30 seconds I knew exactly what to do and liked their method best.

I actually saved them all and gave them to a new mother - they are FANTASTIC and I am so grateful to know that I did the best I could for my infants.

*** BEST BOTTLE FOR YOUR MONEY ALSO BPA FREE *** December 3, 2008 Reviewer:  A. Flores "First Mommy of Manny" Real Name (Waukegan, IL)  See all my reviews >

I do agree that not every bottle will work with every baby because every baby is different. We tried 3 different bottles before we got to this one...we first tried Avent which caused him to have too much gas. Then we tried Playtex Ventaire which were perfect but the writing on them rubs off very easily and I didn't want to guesstimate how much formula/water I was putting in the bottle. Then we tried Nuk which were good but they also caused alot of gas and they leaked too much and milk was getting all over his face when I fed him. These were perfect for us I do agree that the nipple does occasionally collapse but we solved that problem by using the gas drops that reduces the amount of air flow that helps the flow thru the nipple. Besides that...it's a very good bottle for the money that you pay...which I do agree is alot but no amount of money is too much to make sure that my baby is SAFE and has an enjoyable experience when he's feeding not a miserable one.

New Mommy September 24, 2008 Reviewer:  Sweet Pea's Mom "Shannon C" (Lexington, IL)  See all my reviews >

I absolutely love these bottles. I was previoulsy using the Avent bottles and switched to these due to them being BPA free. When I first purchased them I was not thrilled with the price or the many components that required cleaning each time. After actually using them though, I am singing a different tune. My daughter had a lot of gas and spit up problems even with the Avent bottles and both have decreased dramatically since switching bottles. She is also a breast fed baby and she seems to love the nipples better on these bottles better than the Avent ones. I have read other peoples reviews of the nipples being too thin, but I actually haven't had a problem with them at all. The bottles are pricey, but well worth the comfort my baby gets and the comfort I get knowing I am using a healthier BPA free bottle.

great bottles! July 8, 2009 Reviewer:  andrea (phoenix,az)  See all my reviews >

These bottles are great, I love them . I have read other people's reviews about the nipples collapsing, in the instructions it says to make sure the valve is open. when you first get the bottles the valve is perforated but shut. i just used the nipple brush to open them up and i have never had a problem with them.

AWESOME! May 22, 2009 Reviewer:  Lexysmama (Jacksonville, FL)  See all my reviews >

Best bottle out there! This bottle ROCKS! Easy to clean, perfect size, doesn't leak, lightweight, baby loves it, BPA Free, etc, etc. Ours has been through lots of wear and they are still not scratched or damaged. Well worth every penny.
