READ WEIGHT LIMITS CAREFULLY!!! February 28, 2008 Reviewer:  Molly's Mommy (NY)  See all my reviews >

We bought this car seat for our daughter, thinking, how great..it can be used all the way to 65 lbs, however, when we got it, it says right on the box that the weight limit it actually 40lbs. So, I was a little annoyed,so I called customer service, and told them about the difference in the weight limit on target.com, and the box and instructions on the seat. They said theywould fix it on target.com, and 2 weeks later, its not fixed. I'm keeping the seat, because I like it, but I am annoyed that I won't be able to use it as long as I thought I would be able to.

Nice seat April 28, 2008 Reviewer:  SHOPAHOLIC MOMMY (Upstate NY)  See all my reviews >

This seat is really easy to use and well built. To those of you who want to use the car seat for a longer time, don't purchase this one! It only goes up to 40 pounds which is comparable to the Britax Roundabout but you can get the Roundabout for about 75.00 less. The only difference is the way you adjust the straps and this one has a bit more pading which can actually be a bit more bulky on the top. If you want to use the seat up to 65 pounds I would recommend the Britax Marathon which you can easily find for this price or less. The Marathon is a bigger seat and goes from 5 pounds all the way to 65 pounds using the 5pt harness, which is the safest system to use. If you have your heart set on the way this harness adjusts on this seat(you don't have to retread it when you change height level)I would suggest that you spend a little bit more and get the Britax Boulevard which adjusts the same way but does go to 65 pounds. If you shop around you can usually find it for less than this one! It is definately worth the little extra money to get a seat that is suited for 25 lbs more than this one.

My kids love this seat and so do I! May 22, 2008 Reviewer:  Proud mom of twins "Marlene T" (Lexington, KY)  See all my reviews >

I am a new mother of twin girls. They are now 6 months old and getting big. I started out using the famous "rear-facing only" travel car seats. Those were great at first. But as my girls got older, I could hardly carry one of them and I had 2. So a friend told me about the Britax Diplomat.

I went to Target.com, checkd out the price and frowned. After compairing other sites, I decided to go with this one. All I can say is I am so happy I did! We've had the seats now for almost 2 months and my girls love them!

The seats are well built, so that makes me happy. The seats also have a lot of padding for comfort and that makes my girls happy.

Another big plus is the seat is compact. So if you have a Civic or a Tahoe you're not going to have a problem putting it in the back seat. There will be room. And it's easy to install too. Another plus for me.

The only down fall is the seat limit is to 40 lbs. Which is less then some other seats. But those seats are a lot bigger in size and would not fit my car. So I'll take the 2 to 3 years of use out of this one and be happy with it. After all, it's all about our babies...RIGHT?

Worth the money August 25, 2008 Reviewer:  mamatomartin See all my reviews >

We love this seat. We drive a Ford Focus and my husband is 6'3" and it fits great in the back middle seat. We've used it both forward and rear facing. My husband had more room in the rear facing position than he did with the infant seat so that was nice. It only goes up to 40 pounds, but it's worth it if you drive a small car to have all the safety features, but more space. The buckles are easy to use and the strap adjustment in the front is wonderful for getting them in and out. It does usually take both of us to get it in the car as secure as we like it. One of us ends up almost sitting in it, but after installing it about 3 times we have down to less than a few minutes. Our son seems happy and secure when he rides in it.

Britax Diplomat is awesome! August 6, 2008 Reviewer:  Ellies Momma "Liz P" (St. Ignace, MI)  See all my reviews >

I have had the Britax Diplomat for over a month now and I LOVE it. It is easy to move between cars. It is really easy to adjust the seat restraint as well. It fits perfectly in my 2002 Honda Passport and my 1994 Cutlass Ciera. I highly suggest this car seat!

Best of the Best June 17, 2009 Reviewer:  Lola's Mommy "Kyndal F" (Corpus Christi, TX)  See all my reviews >

My husband is an emergency room doctor, so he sees all too often the dangers in unsafe and poorly secured carseats, so this was a BIG decision for us. I already knew of the Britax brand from when I was a nanny for a family who had one for each car and raved about them. My husband spent hours researching all brands of carseats online and then once we settled on Britax, he spent more time researching which Britax seat. Also, this seat received at "A" review from the book, Baby Bargains. On a lighter note, we chose the cow print because what kid doesn't love a cow?! :) We can't wait to put our precious cargo in this safe, adorable seat!

Great Carseat- no more tears October 31, 2008 Reviewer:  M. Campbell Real Name (Fresno, CA)  See all my reviews >

My daughter cried every time she got in her chicco infant carrier/carset. She also gets very hot and we were afriad this would be too hot for her in the summer. The fabric is very breathable and does well in any temp, and does not make my daughter's had sweat (even 100 degree weather). When we purchased the Britax Diplomat she not only doesn't cry, she actually laughs and enjoys being in it. We had it rear facing for a few months then switched to front facing which she enjoys even more. She is comfortable and the seat is easily adjustable. It is easy to install and not too bad to switch from car to car. I love the quiet happy drive time and my daughter loves the comfy seat. Well worth the money, especially if you have a fussy baby.

On the small side February 20, 2009 Reviewer:  Windburn (Indianapolis, IN)  See all my reviews >

I bought this for my 6 month son who is a tall boy at 28 1/2 inches....and 19 pounds! I was so excited when we received it until I sat my son in it. He looked squished....and the depth of the seat was tiny! There was NO way he would fit into this seat when he was 2-3. I even adjusted the headrest up...but still looked squished width wise also! So we returned it to Target and ordered the Boulevard. It arrived a couple of days ago and what a difference. It is so roomy and he looks so comfy in it! It also fits in my SUV (Toyota Landcruiser) wonderfully and the install was a piece of cake! If you have big kids I would NOT recommend this car seat...but for average kiddos I think it would be okay..but why not spend a couple more bucks and get a LOT more room...and a lot more use!

I can't Get Past the Smell! February 4, 2009 Reviewer:  RJ (US)  See all my reviews >

I am soooo disappointed! I wanted this seat so bad, and with all of the awesome reviews; no one said anything about the toxic smell. I can’t try the car seat out because it smells like a chemical plant! Wow! It is out in my garage and I can still smell it! I am scared that it isn’t safe for my baby to be sitting in and surrounded by the fumes. Is it just me, did I get a messed up one, or does every Britax smell like it was dipped in a vat of toxic goo?! It may be the safest seat in the world but why does it smell so dangerous...

Get it at diapers.com now! SALE!!!!!! November 8, 2009 Reviewer:  RyPieMama "RPM" (Rialto,Ca,USA)  See all my reviews >

I spent weeks looking for the perfect car seat for my son who is 3 months. The reviews we great on every website and an even bigger plus at a website it is on sale AND free shipping 2-3 business days. It does have a harsh smell but i did put it in the wash and dried it on low even though it says not to. i would give it 5 stars but target does not have it on sale.
