We were very delighted when we first purchased this swing. It is absolutely adorable and we just could not wait to get it home! We fell in love with the light show, the adorable fabric print and the beautiful canopy. The music and nature sounds are very pleasant with a lot of selections to choose from. The option to switch between the use of either batteries or the A/C adaptor is ingenius. However, this is where our accolades end.

After enjoying this swing for nearly two weeks, we noticed that it began to "slow down" all on it's own. We had always thought that the first setting for newborns was rather fast, though our baby boy didn't seem to mind this. When it began slowing down to practically a stand-still, we knew something was up. We plugged it in to a different outlet figuring maybe there was short in our circuitry, checked the adaptor's wire connections on the swing and switched the power source to battery operation, all to no avail. The swing would swing at the standard operating pace for about 10 - 20 minutes, then it would slow way down and eventually stop altogether. How would I know? The sound of my baby crying for me to turn the swing back on! I would push it and sometimes it would start up again and sometimes it wouldn't. It would continue to make the "clicking" sounds as though it were trying to swing, it just seemed to lack the "power" it needed to actually swing.

Thoroughly frustrated, I gave Fisher-Price a call and described what the swing was/was not doing. I was told that the motor would need to be replaced. Happy to hear that there was a solution, I kindly asked for the motor to be sent out. My happiness instantly turned to sadness when I was told that because this was a new product, the parts were not yet available for it and most likely would not be in for another 1 1/2 to 2 months!!! The idea of trying to make it for possibly another two months with a swing that barely works with a newborn was unbearable!!

Needless to say, we returned the swing to the store. This expensive and absolutely adorable swing that I just had to have for my precious baby boy, broke my heart. If I didn't have to wait so long for the motor I would have kept it and gave it a second chance. I would have exchanged it at the store for another one, however the aggravation of having to put it together again only to possibly be disappointed yet again, was also too much to bear.

Good luck if you purchase this swing. I sincerely hope you do not end up with a faulty product.

My wife and I are O.C.D. when we buy stuff for our baby. We read all the reviews and then go to the store and try it out. We went to tons of stores and decided this is the best swing. It is really soft, and has neck support. Our baby is 2 weeks old and loves the swing. It comes with three different swing motions, and the baby loves them all. The swing is easy to put together and the instructions are easy. I dont know about the other owners on here but our swing doesnt make noise, and the feet do not come off the ground (carpet).

I have absolutely loved this swing up to this point. I received it as a shower gift for my daughter. It had previously been an amazing outlet for me to actually be able to get some house work done.

BUT... Earlier today I walked away for a brief moment to talk to my father, and when I turned back around my baby was HANGING from the front of the swing. The only thing holding her it was the harness attached to her feet.

I went back and double checked the harness to make sure it was the correct tightness, but it's not the straps that are the problem. It's the crotch part. It's far too large for a baby her size and that's how it managed to wiggle free.

This is the most dangerous machine of all time!

I called my friend who also had this swing and she said the same thing happened to their baby.

While this seems to be one of the nicest swings out there, I am thinking of returning it because it makes such a loud clicking noise when you turn it on. I guess it is the motor. I called Fischer Price and they said it was normal.

Does anyone else's swing make this clicking noise? It is really annoying!

Also seems pretty fast even on the first speed.

I was hesitant to spend the money to purchase a swing because I heard from friends that sometimes babies don't like the swing and it ends up being a waste of money.

Not in this case.

I purchased this swing for my one week old and he falls asleep in it, even with the music or swing being on. It allows me to do things around the house without having him to be in my arms all day long.

The pattern is adorable. It's easy to assemble and it seems durable. I've looked at other swings and read reviews, and decided on this one because I thought it would be worth the price.

The only downside is that it only uses batteries and it would have been nice if there was a way to plug it into an outlet. However, I haven't had to replace the betteries yet, so we'll see how long it will take to do so.

I highly recommend this product to newborn parents!!

I AM JIBRIL'S PROUD MOMMY. I RECEIVED THIS SWING AS A GIFT. I MUST SAY THUS FAR, IT IS GREAT. A LITTLE ON THE PRICIER SIDE, SHOULD BE CHEAPER. MY BABY WAS BORN AT 10 POUNDS AND ALREADY IS 13 POUNDS. HE IS ONLY 4 WEEKS OLD MEANING IN ANOTHER MONTH HE WILL NEED ANOTHER ONE DUE TO THE WEIGHT LIMITATIONS. SO IF YOU THINK YOUR BABY WILL BE BIG AT BIRTH DON'T PURCHASE. IT IS NOSEY WHEN IT SWINGS SINCE DAY 1. THE GOOD POINT IS THAT MY BABY LOVES IT. HE SLEEPS LONGER WHEN HE IS IN IT WHICH ALLOWS ME TO GET THINGS DONE. WITH ALL THIS IN MIND IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. D BATTERES ARE NOT CHEAP AND IT REQUIRES 4 BATTERIES SO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT IF AN ADAPTER WOULD HAVE CAME WITH IT.

This swing is great! I'm a 1st time mom, but what I loved about this swing is that it swings from side-to-side and front to back. I like the mirror, the music, and the plush bedding. The tray is great once he gets a little older and can grab stuff. I think the mobile is wonderful too. It was very easy to assemble and only took me a few minutes.

One minor change, I wish this plugged into the wall so I didn't have to mess with changing batteries.

I have twins and have used this swing lots. After two months of use, the butterflies and lights stopped working.. two months later the netting ripped and after one year it does not work at all. The babies seemed to like the swing.. when it worked. I would not recommend the purchase of this swing.

I loved this swing when I saw it in the store and was so happy when we received it. I love the fact that you can change the way it swings, and love the music. It also seems very comfortable. Although there are somethings that I wasn't to pleased with. When we first brought my daughter home and put her in it we put it on the lowest speed and it was WAY to fast (and that is not new mother speaking). Now that we have had it for a while theirs this annoying clicking to get it up to speed. So when I put my daughter in it and she is already asleep it wakes her up. I also have a traveling swing that is older that someone gave me. Addalyn seems to like it so much better because of the bright colors and lights.

I too have the "clicking" problem. It gets OLD!! Its a nice swing, and my daughter likes it. I wish the seat allowed my daughter to sit up a little straighter instead of constantly being partially reclined. When it rocks, the legs do seem to come up off the floor a little (like someone else said theirs did too). My swing goes through batteries like CRAZY! I too wish it plugged into teh wall.
