As far as looks go, this is a VERY nice looking set that was easy to assemble by myself (assemble bed, attach mirror to dresser, that's it!).
Nothing arrived broken as others have mentioned, but I did question the sturdiness of materials a bit as I put it all together. In the end, it all seems to fit/work well.
The mirror is huge and awesome.
I should have taken the previous reviews of the individual pieces more seriously, as they were all accurate (check them out). The surface/veneer of the wood on the bed scratches/chips easily and the bed slats are not as substantial as I would have liked. Otherwise it's a nice height with a mattress and boxspring with room underneath for those underbed storage boxes.
Another thing that bothers me is that the dresser drawers do not "glide." They are somewhat "rough" when you pull them out, for lack of a better word. Also, the bottoms of the drawers look to me like a slightly heavier version of balsawood (read = cheap!).
If you are expecting superior quality wood furniture, you will be disappointed. However if you are realistic and expect a set that will look beautiful and last you between 8-10 years, you'll be fine with this.
