Rod mounts are difficult to install

The only reason I give this item any stars is because it's pretty, and even better looking than the picture shows.
However, the screw holes for the mounting pieces are directly in line with the rod clasp, so you have to hold a standard screw driver at an angle that doesn't allow the screws to set in completely.
Also, the rod is a bit flimsy. I don't recommend it for heavy drapes.

This drapery rod is suitable for lightweight curtains or sheers, and looks lovely. I had little difficulty installing it. However, the plastic anchors that are included for use with the mounting screws are not really sufficient for a secure installation (this is true of every drapery rod I've purchased, regardless of the retailer). You may need to purchase more substantial anchors (metal spreading-type anchors) to securely mount the rod.

The item itself looks awesome and is pretty sturdy, although I agree w/a previous reviewer that these rods are better for lighter weight curtains.
Hardware is sufficient but the actual bracket is shaped in such a way that makes it hard to actually screw onto the wall (the loop part is in the way, no matter which screwdriver I used...)

I bought the curtain holdbacks a few years ago and absolutely loved the look they gave my room. Having recently moved into a new home, I was excited to find that the rods are still available and have just purchased these as well. These are certainly much prettier in person than what the picture shows.
Many of the other reviews state that they are hard to screw in...the finials do come off to allow for easier screwing. Be sure to pre-drill the holes completely as if they are not deep enough, the screws can be easily stripped.
