Great way to use space in tall garages March 23, 2006 Reviewer:  Cooper's Dad (carmel, in USA)  See all my reviews >

Works like a charm! Safety clutch system protects against "dropping" cargo if you lose grip on the rope. Pulleys provide leverage so that lifting a 50-pound bike (that's a heavy bike!) requires no huffing and puffing. If joists run the same direction you want the bike to hang, then brackets can be screwed directly to the joists (4-screws at each, all included), as pictured above. If not, just screw lifts to a 4-foot 2x4, then attach the 2x4 to joists (with screws you supply). In a 10-foot ceiling, you'll have to duck a little to walk under the bike, but at 11 or 12 feet ceilings, a 6-footer (or minivan) can pass easily. (While this is a good price, these can also be found at you favorite online auction site for about half this amount.)

14 foot ceiling January 22, 2005 Reviewer:  Bob See all my reviews >

Great storage solution fo a 14 foot ceiling and the best purchase price (Have seen it sold for over $50.00). Holding my bike, toddler stroller on one and a 16 foot kayak on another. just use gloves to move heavy items with rope!!!

decent, low cost very functional, moderate to install September 3, 2008 Reviewer:  Scott Kavanagh (Fuquay-Varina, NC United States)  See all my reviews >

-Easy to operate and works well for anyone.

-No warranty information on the box, I contacted the manufacturer and they stated 1 year.

-Screw heads strip easily, should use different screws if possible.

-I attached mine to a 2x4 so that I could mount them perpendicular to the joists in my garage, worked fine.

Great storage but bad screws August 25, 2008 Reviewer:  ujd100 (Charlotte, NC)  See all my reviews >

This device hauls your bike to the ceiling and is quite simple to install into the joists only if the manufacturer supplied hex head screws (had to to use my own) instead of the provided philips head wood screws. Imagine pushing up at the ceiling with a power screwdriver to force a slipping bit into joist screws while standing on a 8-foot ladder. The 1/8" pilot holes are insufficient so I used the next size up pilot and they slipped too.
