I bought one for me now getting one for my boyfriend. Mash's easy, without effort. I use like a regular masher, not like it was intended (force of habit) but still works better than most.

This is a poor design for a masher. I've tried it several times and always resort to using my electric hand mixer. It is difficult to fully mash all of the potatoes. Don't bother with this. I will be putting a ricer on my registry.
