I bought two of these dresses, but as soon as I open the box and saw the plastic components I was not happy. I returned them to the store for a refund.

This is a great looking piece of furniture, and overall we're satisfied with this piece considering the price and the quality that you get for this price range. We had to assemble this piece in our living room and move it to the bedroom due to space for assembly. This was not a difficult build by any means, but it was time consuming because of the size and number of parts. The drawers are nice, and have a stopping mechanism built into the track so that you can only pull it out about 3/4 way, which is great because we have a 2 yr old! No pulling drawers out of the dresser and onto little heads! :) The instructions are very clear. The final assembled product is quite sturdy and strong. It includes about 6 or 8 felt foot pads for those who have hard-surface flooring -- we have carpet and did not need to use them. One of the reviews expressed concern about plastic parts, but they perform their function well, and that's what you're going to get for this price range. No issues with the plastic.

We do have issues with the dresser, though. First, there is no "real" wood, but composite board and MDF. These are made of wood, but are not solid wood, and do not have the strength of solid wood. For the price range, we expected as much though. Also, the components were not clearly labeled, but it was very easy to look at the pictures in the instructions and figure out what piece goes where. The drawer slide assemblies are plastic, but seem very rigid. Finally, when moving it into place in the bedroom, the bottom support in the back got caught on the carpet and broke. Its easy enough to cut a 2x4 to size and replace it for the proper support, but you shouldn't have to on a brand new piece. Exercise caution when moving the piece over carpet.

We are going to keep the dresser; we just wish that the quality of the components was a little better. We do feel that it is a good buy for the price, and once we do some additional bracing, we feel this dresser will serve us well for years to come. We are giving this dresser a *** rating, as "average."
