This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. I've put together many pieces of furniture and never had any problems with them. This desk, however, is a total waste of money. The drawers won't open and close, and the desk won't even stay together. If I had wanted a cheap desk, I would have bought one for under $100, but I bought this one thinking it would be good quality. I was very wrong. I'm going to try and return this if I can because I don't think I can even use it.

I got 2 of the 3 drawer file cabinets and the bridge that goes across the top in separate purchases as opposed to the unit shown, because it was more useful to me this way. I got them put together and one of the drawers had a problem closing. I called the Distributor of the Desk's 1-800 # and he walked me through it. I ended up removing the screw in the very back on the right side because it was sticking out too far for the metal track to close properly. It closed and I was happy! I wish they had MORE pieces to match; ie...Bookcases, something that is like a buffet that could hold office supplies and machines.

I looked for a long time to a classic black desk with plenty of storage. Easily put together and drawers slide nicely. However, I wish the back was finished since my office design was for the desk to be in the middle of the room, not against a wall. It came with particleboard to tack on the backs of the file cabinets. I think the desk is a good value for the money.

This desk is a great deal for the price and quality compared to other similar desks. I love it! I will say though putting it together was a very difficult task. The directions are not clear and need some modifications.
