This coat rack, while beautifully stained, did not live up to expectations. I mean, it's a coat rack; it shouldn't be difficult to pull off a quality product, right? Unfortunately, we couldn't even put the coat rack together because some genius decided to lacquer not only the individual "stems", but also the screw ends where you put the stems together. There was so much lacquer on the "screws" that it was impossible to fit one stem into the other. As such, we didn't even get to make our coat rack stand upright.

We're sending this back immediately. Argh.

I just got this product a week ago and it seems to do what it says it will. It was pretty easy to put together; no instructions needed. I had a bit of a problem screwing the main poles together at first. It kept screwing in all wobbly and crooked and I thought it was messed up, but my boyfriend was able to do it. You just have to have it perfectly aligned. Once we got it up, it looked great. The finish is nice and it doesn't look like a [..] coat rack to me. I have 2 coats hanging on it and I love to use the lower horizontal rungs for purses (I'm a purse horse and my purses used to be everywhere). I think this product is a very good value and I am happy with my purchase.

This was very easy to put together, but once a coat was hung on the rack, the legs would slip out and the rack would fall. We had to add extra screws into the base to keep it from falling, but once we did that, it added the extra support that was needed. The coat rack looks nice and fits easily into a corner of the room so it doesn't take up much space.

The actual coat rack is nice and what I was looking for. However, it was not packaged well. There was a hole in the box and since the pegs were all laying loose in the box it arrived minus one of the short pegs at the top. I was going to return it and get a new one but they are out of stock. I was given a $... adjustment but I would rather have a complete product.

The rack is a functional item and does what it is supposed to do. The finish was less than great but OK for a corner. Shipping time was a bit long and the price is proportionate to the quality. The box it came in was the most torn up container I have ever seen but it got the job done. Somehow all the pieces were still in there.

Looks like a used coat rack. Wood has been chipped and repaired, Lots of scratches and dents in the wood. Very easy to assemble though, and seems fairly sturdy. Maybe I won't notice how ugly the wood is when it's covered in coats. Honestly I'm just shocked this is a "new" item...it looks about 15 years old.

Granted I have a heap of coats on my coatrack (addicted to track jackets), but it broke after only 1 1/2 months of use. I'd say the coatrack is great if you don't have heavy coats to hang, otherwise, I'd suggest something with a stronger base.

For a coat rack that only cost $25 keep in mind, the quality is going to be on the same par. I mean it's not horrible but the top part wouldn't screw in all the way so it spins and I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that or it just won't screw any tighter. There was also a small crack in the pole and the laquer on it was a little "drippy". But it serves it's purpose and matches my espresso themed apt.
