For some unknown reason my decanter drips coffee onto my countertop when I am filling my coffee mug. I do not see any defects that would cause the coffee to run down the front of the decanter, but this is a totally unacceptable problem.

After reading a lot of the reviews I decided on a particular brand and model, got to the store and it was out. I hesitantly got this Mr Coffee because it had the functions I wanted and a great price. Although Mr Coffee has gotten many negative reviews here I am thrilled with the product. There is no leaking from anywhere, it'easy to use, makes good coffee and cleans easily.

The coffee maker drips a lot when you remove the decanter even when brewing is complete. This causes lots of sizzling noises and burnt places on the burner area. I've only had this coffee maker for less than a year, so I hate to replace it already, but the dripping is really annoying.

I bought this coffee maker about two months ago and I absolutely love it!

Pluses:
1. You can program it to start brewing coffee at any time you want it to.
2. It automatically shuts off after two hours, so if you forget to turn it off you won't have burnt coffee on the bottom of the carafe.
3. It makes about 14 cups of coffee if you fill the water all the way up.
4. You can see how much water is already in the reservoir.
5. Extremely easy to use.
6. Sleek look.
7. There is a slot in the back of the coffee maker for the cord to be put in so you don't have cord all over your kitchen counter.
8. Very easy to clean.
9. It's extremely cheap!

Minuses:
1. It is loud when brewing. This is my only complaint, but unless you're sitting in the kitchen with it, you won't be able to hear it anyway.

Misleading reviews:
1. A lot of the reviews I read on Target.com said that the carafe spilled coffee all over the counter. I have never had that problem. If you put the lip of the carafe over the edge of the mug, it won't spill. You can't hold it up and try to pour over the mug that will always cause a spill no matter what carafe you are using.
2. The reviews also said that this coffee maker did not make a strong pot of coffee. If you want a stronger pot of coffee, you need to increase the amount of coffee you are putting in the filter.

I've had my coffee maker for over a year and have had no problems. It makes very good coffee and the 2 hour automatic shutoff is very helpful.

yes, it makes coffee. yes, it makes it on time. yes, it has automatic shut off. yes, when you pour-IT NEVER FAILS TO SPILL COFFEE! try lifting the lid, doesn't always help. looks great on the counter esp in black, but plan on having black counters as well from the spilled coffee. stupid carafe design.

We are now about to buy our 3rd Mr Coffee maker of this model and color. This one is about 6 years old..replacing because it is too stained and old looking though it still works great.
Yes the pause and serve does drip a little bit,no biggie.
Yes the carafe drips while pouring. Solution; lift top,
and pour a little slower.
Very easy to keep clean. Carafe,and basket washes in dishwasher. Vinegar rinse once a month keeps insides clean.
want just 2 cups? take cup your using and pour from there
2 of those cups. About Same amount of water will be returned. Overall for the money its a GREAT Coffee Maker.
our old one is being given away to our kid.
this machine is very easy to use, water reservoir is easy
to see and fill, clock/timer easy to set and use, and between our fresh grinding our coffee,and using this coffe
maker, friends and family rave about our coffee. Cant complain about that.

I purchased this coffee maker one year ago. From the very beginning it drips from the carafe when pouring coffee, even when holding the lid up. From the very beginning it leaks when taking the carafe from the coffee maker. The problems have gotten worse the longer we own the coffee maker. Mr. Coffee has always been our choice in the past, not anymore. I'm tired of cleaning up the coffee that spills on the counter. Don't buy this coffee maker.

I have had this coffeemaker for about a month and I am fairly happy with it. It easy to clean, good size for an apartment, and dependable.
