Good Shoe, Bad Execution

I bought this shoe in store. It was just what I had been looking for for spring. I have seen a lot of "minimalist" shoes all over the blogs and was super excited even I saw these were still available in my local Target. I took them home and tried them on. They are a great fit but after I walked around in them I noticed that the odd closer doesn't stay closed so the strap opens up and the shoes falls off my foot. I'm contemplating seeing if a shoe cobble can convert the odd closer to a normal buckle. If not these will be going back because the shoe doesn't even stay on my foot! So disappointing.

There's a loop you have to put over the metal closure to keep the shoes to stay put, I was having the same problem at first too until I figured that out
