I have long layered hair and ordered several different types of travel rollers to test. These heat up quickly (provided you ensure they are all securely fastened on the pad). I only keep them in for 5 mins to ensure my hair doesn't go too curly. I wish I got them years ago as for past trips I was taking my regular rollers in my suit case !

These rollers are great. They work as well as the full sized ones and they come in a soft case that is great for travel. They take up very little space in a suitcase. The cord and pins fit in the top of the case so it is very compact.
