This humidifier has been great for us. We went through 2 Vicks ones that stoped working (and leaked) before we got this one six months ago and it works great. I got a pinguine one for the daycare I work for 3 months ago when their previous (Vicks) humidifier broke, and that has been working great too. Last but not least, I got a Winnie the Poo one for my friend who has a new born a couple of months ago, and she tells me that so far that one has been working well too. Never the less, do keep the box: some reviewers have noted that theirs did not work from the getgo or stopped working after a while.

What's so great about the Crane humidifiers?
- The auto shut-off is the best feature. They don't burn out if you forget to fill them up or forget to turn them off. (How one of our previous humidifiers died.)
- They don't leak water on the surface that you put them on. (Which is common with most other humidifiers.)
- You have control over how much humidity you are putting in the air, which makes the humidifier the right fit for any size room.
- The mist that comes out is cool to the touch. If your toddler or child puts their hand in the mist out of curiousity, they will not get burned.
- The mist strats to come out almost immidiately, so you can tell right away if it is working. (unlike the Vicks ones we had which took 5-10 minutes before they put out mist.)
-If you use filtered water (bottled, from a fridge that puts out filtered water, run through a Britta pitcher, or better yet through a filter placed on your sink's tap), you do not even have to buy a filter for the humidifier. But if you do have to buy a filter, they are inexpensive and last a long time.
-There is a hidden handle for carrying the water tank to and from.
-They are so darn cute! There is a Crane humidifier that fits any nursery theme that you have.

This humidifier is so great!I got the sponge bob humidifier it was junk.But this one works great.Steam comes out perfect,but the sponge bob one did not come out.Buy this product its great donot buy the sponge bob humidifier.

Not only is this humidifier really cute it also functions great. I found it to be very easy to operate, just add water, turn on and that is it. There is also a nice shut off feature when the water level is to low it will turn itself off and a red light displays. They sell optional filters to go with the humidifier although I am not sure it is necessary. Wonderful product.

Purchased at my local target store after reading good reviews. Works great and is quiet. We have it in our room until the baby arrives! We might have to buy another because it works so well!

I have a 4 month old daughter. At night she would cough up a storm so she could not sleep peacefully at night. So last night I went to Target and bought this humidifier and set it up immediatly. Within 10 minutes she stopped coughing and slept through the night with out a sound. This humidifier was easy to set up and quite. It works wonderfully!!

I am not happy with this humidifier. It is very cute, however, I suppose some of us are purchasing faulty humidifiers because I am having the same issue as another reviewer – mine stops working after a while and the red light comes on. Or it will blink red and green. So it has to be shaken slightly to get it to work again – or the knob has to be turned to get it to work again. It has something to do w/ the water float device within the water level sensor not working properly. I wish I would have kept the box to take it back because it is very inconvenient to have to call the service center to request a new flotation device that may or may not work. Would not recommend this particular humidifier.

I bought this for my son after buying several humidifiers ad taking them back. This was the perfect one for us. The mist comes out like a resperator machine, which interests my son and makes him want to get close to it. He has croup so it is good for him to get close and breath it in and the best part, completly silent!!!!

The mist would not come out of the opening, it just stayed down in the little tunnel. I read and re-read the instructions to make sure I did everything correctly and still had no luck. We will be returning it tomorrow.

We have bought two of these Crane (elephant) humidifiers and only had one glitch. The second one we bought would not let the mist out of the trunk, but for some reason when we switched "heads" with our first unit it worked fine. We've never had a problem since. It lasts a long time and the mist is steady and plentiful. Ours have not gotten dirty at all... we do empty them after use and let them sit out to dry.
