I am very satisfied with this humidifier - it is not only cute and matches our baby's room but also helps to prevent dry nose (which I usually had because of the heater - ohhh...) - I feel much better now, and very glad that my newborn daughter never had my problem!
I can recommend it to anyone!

This is so cute and so far has proven reliable, didn't purchase filters last year, but did this year-it has cut down on much of the white dust (we have used reg. tap water)-have bought the filters on [..] for a better deal. Definitely clean thoroughly after each use. BTW, we don't use this all winter, only when our daughter has a cold/stuffy nose-which so far has averaged about 10 days every for fall/winter month! LOL

Had it for about 3 months and the fan started making alot of noise like it needed to be oiled. The "Empty" light doesn't always work. It keeps operating even after the the tank was removed to be refilled. The green "On" light is so bright its annoying when the lights are off. Don't be fooled by how sturdy it feels, it doesn't last very long. I would give it 0 stars if that were an option.

I got this as a baby shower gift and was very impressed. I am a huge Hello Kitty fan and think it is absolutely adorable. It does work, not quite as well as some other brands and types but it does work well enough.

I normally don't write reviews, but I do make sure I read them before I make a purchase. In this situation I think it's important to give my opinion because I don't believe this product should get such low ratings and reviews.

I was hesitant to purchase this based on the poor reviews, but I am glad I gave it a shot. I now understand the prior complaints I read from other customers, but please know that it was because THEY DID NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.

First, the filter DOES fit. It belongs on the base of the product not on the water chamber. Secondly, the vents on the bottom must be clear and free from blockages (do not put a towel underneath it).

In conclusion, go ahead and buy this cute little humidifier and read the directions and it will work just fine!

This was such a cute humidifier and it worked great--until I pulled it out the next year to use it and it no longer worked. :( It is too expensive to buy a new one every year, so I will get something less expensive this time. It's a shame because it is so adorable and it worked so well the first year.

I purchased the first hello kitty humidifier the beginning of November 2008 and it did not work at all so hoping it was random I took it back and got a new one. I got the new one the end of November 2008 and here it is the end of January first part of February 2009 and it too has stopped working all together. It started with the high pitched noise coming from the fan and when that finally stopped acting up the mist stopped coming out. I cleaned it regularly and when it stopped working I went to the manual and did all the trouble shooting techniques that were recommended and nothing worked. This humidifier is very very cute which makes it very tempting to buy for your little princess, who will also fall in love with it, but if it works at all when you take it out of the box it won't last long. We do have 2 other crane humidifiers (frog & dragon) and they are both working great with not one problem. The frog seems to work the best. When I fill the frog and dragon at the same time and put them both on the same setting the frog will last longer than the dragon. Do not be tempted by this cute hello kitty humidifier choose another crane character as the name brand seems to be very good just this particular design has some bugs to be worked out. The crane humidifiers are all very quite.

I purchased this 2 seasons ago because I have year round allergies/sinus problems and I LOVE Hello Kitty. This works better than other humidifiers I have had and doesn't require expensive replacement filters. There are a few catches though: When the red light comes on, the water is low and it needs to be re-filled. If no mist comes out, you need to take a cotton swab and clean off that little silver disc in the bottom. It that is corroded with residue from your tap water, it won't make mist. It is also very important to change the water regularly and make sure you clean out the tank and wipe off the inside of the base. Tap water had a lot of stuff in it and it can be really gross and get slimy inside if you don't. As for noise, I think is it very quiet, much more so than a plain one I purchased with a paper filter that smelled so odd I had to return it.

i purchased this for my 3 yr old daughter ,the humidifier worked great the first night ...and that was it . the humidifier comes on fan works but i get a red lite only and it no longer does anything .well almost nothing ,it makes a good night light. lol. i feel that this item is a waste of money and needs a recall.

I really wish this worked, but it doesn't. It is just SO perfect except that it either gets a short in the light, or makes a loud buzzing noise or doesn't work altogether. I went online hoping it was just a problem with mine, but apparently this lovely beauty has serious design flaws.
