I Love this Crockpot... LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I've had it for over 5 months and it makes me appear as though I can actually cook... and really well! There are tons of online slowcooker recipes to help you out. I really like the McCormick Slowcooker seasoning packets which you can find at your local grocery store. Great stuff! Love the digital countdown so you can actually see how much time is left.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE this item. I got it for a bridal shower gift, and within the 6 months that we've had it, its been nothing but perfect. My husband loves to cook with it. You can leave it on over night .. and BAM a great meal. ..Unlike the other reviews we havent had a problem with it cooking too hot or not staying warm. I would give this as a gift myself.

The outside was quite hot and it cooked faster than the instruction manual suggested it would (I used a recipe from the instruction manual). There is no mechanism to delay the start of cooking, which would be handy for some meals that I'd want to set up in the morning before work and eat when I get home. If the meal only takes four hours to cook, and I use the "keep-warm" function for four hours after that, I still will not get home in time. The unit also will not recover from a temporary power failure, according to the instructions. The bowl and lid seemed high-quality but the electronics seemed low-quality.

I use this crock at least once every 2 weeks and I have a family of 7! It works great for me. I use it for everything from soups to roasts and have no complaints. I have had it for over a year now.I would recommend it to anyone who needs to make large quanities.

Ok, went to Target to buy a crock pot with a Christmas gift card. The pretty red color and timing feature looked so good. First time I used the appliance it seemed a bit hot, but it was only a 3 hour cook time, so I needed to give it another try. For the second attempt, I made a pot roast with instructions from the Rival book included. Instead of the 10 to 12 hours on low it took less than 8 and the pot was visibly boiling by the time I turned it off. I now have to return this item and look for another crock pot. Think Target should seriously take this off their inventory before someone has a fire in their home.

...don't buy this one.
I have only used it a couple of times and it worked fine, but one day I put my soup on high to warm it up and the outside was piping hot but the soup was still cold. When I lifted up the lid, a piece of the black plastic attachment melted off! So there was a hole in it!
I love Rival's products and I was able to get it swapped for another crockpot via Rival's customer service, but I wouldn't get this particular crock pot again.

I have had this crockpot for two years and am still totally in love with it! It works like new and I have not had any problems with it cooking too hot. I am able to leave food in overnight and I don't have to fuss with anything until we are ready to eat that evening. As far as I am concerned, this is one of the best gifts my husband and I received for our wedding!

My mother encouraged me to buy this cooker. She has one and loves it. I thought it was too big for my family (2 Adults, 1 Child). Turns out it was the best purchase I made in a long time. It makes a meal plus leftovers. The size also allows me to fill it with lots of extra veggies. The automatic "warm" setting keeps food hot until we're ready to eat. I'm actually giving it as a gift for the holidays.

My old slow cooker died and I took my experience from that one to find a new one. Programable timer-love it! Automatically switches to warm-wonderful. Yes it cooks hot. It's supposed to, just don't fill it right up to the top. I've never needed anything except the "low" setting. I haven't put the crock in the dishwasher. I don't need to. It cleans up easily in the sink, unlike my old one. I live in fear of the day this one dies. I'll never find one to replace it.

If I could I'd give this a MINUS!!!!
I got this with a gift card for my 40th. Went to use it today and where the controls are, it started SMOKING and I could smell hot wires. Very disappointed!!! Will NEVER buy again...not worth my house catching FIRE!!!
