Don't let people who don't bother reading the manual dissuade you from purchasing this label maker. I LOVE mine, I've had it for years, and I still use it all the time!

If Terri in Minneapolis would have bothered to read the manual, she would've known that if the letters get grey or fuzzy - YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES. It's a thermal printer, and even though the display will work and it will spit out a label, it uses quite a bit of battery power to print. Once fresh batteries are inserted, the labels print perfectly again.

I bought this label maker less than a week ago. I made quite a few labels and went thru one roll of the tape. Now, as it starts the 2nd roll of label tape, the letters are gray, fuzzy and disapearing. I looked online for a solution and found only other complaints about the same exact problem. Aparently, there is no fix as the unit does not use toner.

Target should not sell this label maker any more. It's poor quality and is obviously designed for failure after minimal use. Target Guests Service rep told me on the phone today that even though I do not have the plastic packaging that this device came in, I can still return the unit to the store as long as I have my reciept.

DO NOT BUY THIS LABEL MAKER...IT WILL BREAK!
