Comfy chair! Great value! March 24, 2006 Reviewer:  Paula (MN)  See all my reviews >

We just received this glider yesterday. My husband put it together in about 10 minutes. Arm cushions were a little tough to snap on but I hope that means they won't easily snap off! Very comfortable. Nice color fabric. I also like how the chair back cushion snaps to the back of the chair so it won't slide down.
Just FYI: This chair seems to sit up higher than most gliders. I am only 5 feet tall and my feet barely touch the ground when sitting all the way back. I actually don't mind this. I find that the height of the chair makes it easier to use the ottoman since this doesn't put a strain on my back. My husband also finds this chair comfortable and he is 5'10" medium/large build.
The honey color finish on this glider is beautiful.
We had originally planned on getting the Ultramotion glider from Target but was disappointed when seeing it in the store. The back cushion was sliding down and the velcro on the arm cushions were partly exposed and could tell that would really bother me. Also, that chair is about twice the price. I am so glad we got this one instead. Dutalier or not, I just wanted a comfortable chair! I highly recommend this Deluxe glider/ottoman combo from Shermag!

The BEST Chair EVER!!! August 25, 2006 Reviewer:  Bonnie Kirk "Bonnie Kirk" Real Name (Lubbock, Texas)  See all my reviews >

I had my first son in february and was not able to buy the chair until my husband and I closed on our house in may. We ordered the chair and recieved it a week later, which is very quick! The chair is so comfortable and great for feeding and rocking or son to sleep. The best thing about it is it is big enough for me and my husband to sit in it comfortably. Very easy to assemble and easy clean up from formula! I am extremely happy with this glider rocker and would definitely recommend it to any new mother who is in search of a good chair.

Very Pleased August 4, 2006 Reviewer:  Soon-to-be-Mom "Amanda K" (Pittsburgh, PA)  See all my reviews >

I received my glider today, and it was very easy to assemble. I am almost 9 months pregnant, and I did it all myself. The cushions were easy to snap on and the chair is very comfortable. My only two complaints are that the wood isn't a true honey finish (doesn't match my other furniture) and the fabric on the ottoman is a different color than the chair. Overall, I am very pleased.

Pleasantly, pleasantly surprised January 3, 2009 Reviewer:  New Mom Happy With Purchase (Chicago, IL)  See all my reviews >

Like most reviewers, I was skeptical about purchasing this chair site unseen, however based on the overwhelming positive reviews, I went ahead. Thank you to all the (positive) reviewers...you were spot-on. It's super comfortable, surprisingly sturdy, easy to assemble (with the exception of the arm rests -- yes, they are labeled incorrectly, but hey, you have 2 choices to figure out which way is correct, and which way isn't), and quiet. My husband is 5'10" 200 lbs and fits comfortably in it (he's enjoying it in front of the flat screen right now...I gather he'll take advantage using this seat up until the baby is born). My sister-in-law has the Hanford Sleigh Glider, so I test-drove it, and in my opinion, I think that the Danielle Glider has a few features that are more beneficial than the Hanford: 1)less expensive, 2) the armrest padding stays in place whereas the Hanford armrest padding starts to slide off of the armrest...so much that after a while, in order to use the padding, you have to wedge your arm on top of it to prevent it from sliding off, and 3) the Danielle has a high back so you can rest your head back comfortably -- great feature for taller folks (the Hanford back isn't as high). As far as using a nursing pillow...tested it, and for us, the arm height is perfect, but it's probably due to our height (I'm 5'7"). For shorter people, I can see how the arm height could be awkwardly high and inconvenient for nursing pillow use. At any rate, if after considering these factors and those of other reviewers, and you think these are features you're looking for in a glider, you will seriously not go wrong with this purchase. Happy glider shopping!

Very Disappointed August 14, 2007 Reviewer:  Disappointed New Mother See all my reviews >

I'm a new mother and because I was on a budget, I wanted find baby furniture affordable and looked nice. So I chose the simplicity 4 in 1 crib (honey) and I wanted a glider w/ ottoman to match. I purchased the deluxe glider and found that is was very easy to assemble and took no time to put together and was very comfortable to sit in. I had it up for TWO days and when my brother (who's not overweight or to big) sat in the chair to rock the baby, and when he laid his on arms on the armrest, suddenly we heard snap/crack sound saw that the left armrest was broken. I contacted the manfacturer because do to Target return policy, I thought since the manufacturer guarantees there products up to a year (which I still fell into that window) that it wouldn't be an issue for me to ask them to replace the armrest, WRONG, they directed me back to where I made the purchase which it was already past the return policy date, do to getting the runaroud and transferred alot- when dealing w/ the manufacturing company in CANADA . Therefore, I had to find and alternative which it's good to know someone that does wood work. Anyway I highly don't recommend this product, as the say "You get what you paid for!" So if you decide to purchase this product- I would definitely give it a second thought & possible go elsewhere and it might be more beneficial to you if you just pay a little more. There are places that have layway as an option! GOOD LUCk!!

Very worthy, even after 10 months June 5, 2008 Reviewer:  D. Manges Real Name See all my reviews >

After much research, I bought this glider/ottoman in June 2007. Some of the reviews then, as now, complained about the occasional problem here and there, but it seemed worth it for the price. I have now been using it every day for the past 10 months to nurse my baby and it has held up well. The seat springs used to pop off, but my husband was able to nail them in tighter. It is a small fit, but to this day I still use the Brestfriend to nurse him, and the baby and I fit just fine, though snug. We have a small nursery, so I appreciate the smaller size of the chair and ottoman. I was surprised how much I do like the ottoman as well, it makes for a very comfortable feeding. Delivery can be costly, so do try for a "free shipping" promotion.

Good for larger sized parents April 4, 2009 Reviewer:  Very pleased momma "Melanie K." (Louisville, KY USA)  See all my reviews >

We LOVE this glider/ottomam. I am a larger woman (5'4", 215)so I had a harder time finding a glider that would be comfortable. So many seemed so narrow but this one definitely has extra room to allow for me to feed my daugther and both of us be comfortable.

Our daughter is 7 months old and we have had no problems (no squeaking-yea!) Either my husband or I use this chair every time we are putting our daughter for bedtime or naps. The upholstry is very good and wipes clean with just a baby wipe. I even spilled prune juice on it and it wiped clean.

AWESOME GLIDER!!!! April 19, 2009 Reviewer:  happy TX mom See all my reviews >

We got this glider as a shower gift and it's wonderful!! I was surprised at how plush the cushions were and it's very comfortable. Even daddy (6'0 and 195 lbs) fits comfortably in it which is a must since he helps with night time duty. I would tell anyone who's expecting to get this glider. It's going to be a big help in the middle of the night!
