If your son loves Bob the Builder, then this is an excellent set! My son received this for his 2nd birthday and now a year and a half later, he still plays with it. When dad is fixing something, my son always runs to get his tool set. The pieces do not have sharp edges, so my baby can also play with them safely. (We did have to place some foam in the hat so that it would not fall off so easily.)

My son received this set for Christmas. He just turned 3 and he has loved it from the start. My one complaint is that the hard hat falls off really easily...like if he looks down. He really enjoys "helping" and "fixing" things around the house with his daddy. I'm going to purchase another set for my nephew who is turning 3 next month.

I must say I do not regret buying this item, but the hat is questionable. It does not fit a child's head correctly. Whenever a child moves and/or looks down the hat comes down as well. My son loves his bob the builder tool belt and he loves the hat but he does get frustrated. It doesn't even offer a play to hook so sort of tie or chin strap, my husband was going to try to come up with something that was safe yet would help rectify the problem. Also the pliers do not fit into the belt easily and it becomes a "MOMMY!!!!" issue every time to take them out of the holster and put them back in.

I actually purchased this for my son right before his 3rd birthday to wear as "Bob the Builder" for Halloween. He wore it with jeans and a solid red shirt and thought he was all that - too cute. Then afterwards he could play with it as well. Loved everything about it except the hat. There is nothing inside it, etc. to keep it on his head. I almost drilled holes in the sides to pull something through it to keep it on but I found another hat with velcro inside it for him to wear for Halloween so I'd say a great toy overall with exception of the hat.

This is a very nice set. The tools are very sturdy and the tool belt has a range of sizes with the velcro. The only issue is the hat is like a bowl and justs moves around on my sons head. I glued some batting on the insed and now it is fine.

My son is almost two and absolutely loves this set. We actually bought it to make him a "Bob the Builder" costume for Halloween. The tools are durable and easy for him to handle. The belt has several "Bob" sayings and is his favorite part of the set. The hat is a little big for most toddlers heads but it works. Overall, this is a great and relatively inexpensive toy. I highly recommend it.

My preschool class loves this toy. Everyone wants to be Bob and "fix" our door. I may have to buy another one it is such a huge hit!
