I saw this and thought it would be perfect for light car cleaning and my bathroom floors. This is the most useless hand vacuum EVER! It looks great but it doesn't pick up ANYTHING. Please don't waste a penny on this product.

Yeah, I bought this to clean up stray hairs in my bathroom, because I have to leave it on the counter and it's pretty. But what a useless thing it is. It is heavy and difficult to hold on to, and the exhaust fan holes (which circle around the cone just above the suck hole) blow the hair away before I can vacuum it up. Now it just sits there and I clean up the hair on the floor with a kleenex instead. Good design needs to incorporate both form AND function, and this one is form only.

i bought this to use when cleaning out the cat litter my cats tend to kick it right out. it works great for that, small messes, crumbs, all of that is true, same with the fact that it blows dust and hair around. i consider it to be over priced if only using it for one thing. but it really isnt that bad of a price, you can sometimes find a good deal on it too.
its not that hard to clean out as previously mentioned. one part pops off and you pop out the filter and dump it in the trash, everything pops right back in easily a 2 year old could do it.
im not sure about holding a charge, i just followed the directions, charged it for 24 hours before using it and it seems fine to me. ive left it out over night after using it without recharging it and it has worked fine the next day. my only complaint is that it blows dust/hair around unless you hold it a certain way, so i just use a regular vacuum cleaner for that

The sucking power is unimpressive, and you have to keep it plugged in (and drawing power) 24/7 to use it... if you unplug it, it won't hold a charge. And emptying is a pain... at least 5 pieces you have to take off and then remember how to put back together.

I had to write my own opinion in, cause some reviews are dogging this item. It's slightly expensive, but works great. Make sure it's fully charged. The main thing I use it for is to pick up the pile of dirt after I've swept, pick up dust balls, & small areas on the rug that I don't want to take out my big vacuum for. My only complaint is that it doesn't have any attachments and is a one trick pony. You'll never be able to use it to get into hard to reach spots. I get a lot of complements on the design too. I say if it doesn't break the bank go with it...you will not be disappointed.

I LOVE this vac. If my kids spill their food or track in dirt i just have to pick this up and the mess is gone. I keep it plugged in and then it's always charged. It is the best handheld vac I've used. I would buy this again if anything ever happened to mine.

I received the Kone as a wedding present. My husband was excited about how cool it looks. I was just excited to have a compact dust buster that is attractive and battery powered. The suction is great. It is perfect for cleaning up soot on the hearth and for detailing the car. It's absolutely perfect for a small apartment, in which there are several places a full-size vacuum will not fit. Also, the dirt compartment is easy to empty and it holds a charge well.

I received this as a christmas present for our new home and was greatly disappointed. Although it is cute and compact and can sit in a corner, it doesnt do what its suppose to. It doesnt even suck up crumbs very well. The filter is very small and must be changed quite frequent if you do suck up anything with it. I was let down especially coming from dirt devil. Now I wont purchase the dirt devil broom b/c Im sure its the same thing.

The Dirt Devil Kone picks up better than our vacuum. As a pet owners, we use and abuse it daily. Living near the beach means tracking lots of sand into the house. The Kone has never let us down. The perfect thing for tiny apartments since its ambiguous design allows for it to be displayed without being an eyesore. In short, The Kone not only works great, it looks cure too. I highly recommend it!

I agree with those who said it blows dirt and hair away before you can get to it to suck it up. It is especially bad for pet hair! Wouldn't reccommend.
