Good for the money!

We bought this glider because of the low price and the white finish with beige covers. Although it's not as nice as the more-expensive Dutailier models, it's definitely worth the price. The covers look nicer than I expected (they are stone-colored twill, which was a pleasant surprise), the gliding mechanism is smooth, and the chair is comfortable. The wood finish isn't fabulous and is a bit rough underneath... but I don't think I would have noticed if we hadn't been on the ground assembling it. And there is a very faint sound when the glider rocks... kind of like a "whooshing" or crinkling noise... but you have to strain to hear it and so far doesn't bother us. Overall, if you aren't willing to spend $600-$800 on a pricier glider than this one is a good stand-in. The bottom line is it looks cute and does the job just fine!

I was very excited to recieve this glider and ottoman and was a little dissapointed after I got it. I thought that since it was made by Dutailier it would be a very nice chair and ottoman. It was very weird because when the chair got here no where on the chair, ottoman, box, or papers does it say anything about Dutailier. Anyways the chair is a lot smaller than what I had thought, the arm cushions fall off and move around all the time because they're just attached with velcro, the seat itself is pretty narrow, and my biggest complaint is that the fabric on the ottoman and chair does not match at all!! The chair is beige and the ottoman is green. I would shop around first before even thinking about buying this.

In addition to being very picky and hard to please, I am also very particular about price and quality. Imagine my frustration when I was trying to locate a white glider that could accomidate a growing pregnancy behind and was top quality. If you are in my predicament, this glider is your answer.
It is Dutailier which is top of the line. It is very well constructed and took literally 10 minutes from box to back for assembly. The quality of the construction is matched by the neutral and durable fabric. This is a must for any expecting parent and a great value. With the hours of shopping online and in stores I guarantee you will not find a better glider.

Disappointed--color is khaki--not beige

We just received this chair as a gift from our registry. Not only did the cushion arrive with a stain, it is a khaki green and not a neutral beige as advertised. Speaking to Target customer service was very frustrating. I had to hang up on the first 2 people I spoke to because they didn't understand the problem & couldn't help me. Now the chair is temporarily unavailable, so I'm not sure how the situation is going to be resolved. I'm trying to contact the manufacturer to see if they will send me new cushions in the correct color. Target tried calling them yesterday, but couldn't get through. I'd hate to have to return it since it's a gift it makes for an awkward situation. The product comes with minimal paperwork & the chair does squeak a bit when gliding. When I saw the average for this item was 4 out of 5 stars, I thought I'd give it a try. Perhaps the manufacturer is to blame for the variation in the color of the cushions. Some customers seem perfectly happy with a beige cushion. If you don't want to deal with the hassle of a return & a potential khaki green cushion, don't order this chair.

Glider and Ottoman are different colors

This glider and ottoman are great for the price. The size is big enough for my 6'1" 215 lb husband and they both rock very smoothly.
I only gave this purchase 3 stars because the glider and ottoman are completely different colors. The color of the glider is beige as described and is a nice neutral color. The ottoman, however, is basically green. Because we really like this purchase for the price and do not want to deal with returning, we are going to upholster the chair with some fabric from curtains we have in the nursery.

I don't know what I would have done without this! I used it the night I brought my daughter home from the hospital, and i'm still using it 2 years later. I've never once had a proble with this items. VERY sturdy, very well put together and very visually appealing. I highly recommend this item to anyone looking at gliders! My only wish was that I bought the foot stool too.

When we bought this glider and ottoman, I thought that I would use it for nursing and that would be it. But 16 months later I'm still using it, and I love it. I rock my daughter in it every night before bed.
It's a good choice for the price, and it has enough color options to match any nursery. I love the white wood option because it matches my crib and changing table.

I received this glider and ottoman from my baby registry for my baby shower. I picked it because of the colors and good reviews and I LOVE it. Admittedly, I didn't shop any "high end" stores for fancier gliders, but this one is so great. It is extremely comfortable. I did and still do nurse my son in it all the time (he is five months now and quite a big baby) and we fit perfectly fine. It is wonderful for rocking a fussy baby to sleep as well (would you rather sit and rock comfortably or pace the hallway?). It seems very durable and well made. Great investment.

I like this glider for the most part. Never had problems sleeping in it w/ DS. My only complaint is the padded arms are secured by vecro by wrapping around the arm. They come off very easily. I am thinking of sewing them on. The other issue is that the covers do not come off the cushions to wash.

I bought this item on clearance at my target. [...] I put it together (3 and a half months pregnant) all by myself (it only took 4 screws for the ottoman and ditto for the glider) It was SO easy to put together and a dream to rest in. I often fall asleep when sitting in it. Very cushy and matches perfectly for boy or girl.
