I went to the closest target store in my area that had this rug in stock. They only had 1 left and I was so excited to get it because I love the design. I take it off the rack and put it in my shopping cart only to discover that a cloud of fine "wool" from India has covered the general vicinity of where I'm standing. It turns out that this made in India rug of 100% wool sheds like no other. The fabric is also rough and unappealing. If you like to have a cloud of wool dust following you around, getting all over your clothes, and clogging your A/C filter, get this rug!

I just purchased this rug and it is not shedding. It's soft and thick and vacuums up nicely. It looks like the picture except the cream color in the picture is incorrect, the color of the leaves is closer to a beige. Item arrived quickly.

This rug does not shed any more than the next rug. Once it is vacuumed, this is not an issue at all. The print reminds me of one found in a high end contemporary boutique - it has beautiful colors and looks great in my living room! Don't hesitate to purchase this good looking rug.

After reading the review that said this rug shed like no other, I went to my local Target to check it out (I really liked the design!) I was disappointed to discover it shed every bit as bad as described (the former reviewer was NOT exaggerating!) I'm not sure how well it would do if you put it down and vacuumed it a few times, but I would agree that it was pretty rough to the touch. It was very thick though, and if it didn't shed like a maniac then I would bet it would wear well. I wasn't willing to risk it.

People. Listen. This rug is awesome. It says right on the back of the rug that shedding is natural for wool rugs and will get less and less over time. It's true. After 10-20 vacuums the shedding is barely noticable. I think the quality is amazing for the price. It feels and looks like a $.. rug...and trust me...I know the difference. I'm a designer and shop for this stuff all the time.

I love this rug!!!! It is so beautiful and looks fantastic. I first had it in the family room but now have it in my bedroom so I can see it every day when I get up!!! I dont think its shedding at all! It is stunning! I have had so many compliments too! The design takes some getting used to because its pretty bold but its gorgeous!

I bought this rug and yes it did shed when I first put it down. Once I vacuumed the rug it was fine, and looks great. Oh and I only had to vacuum it once. The shedding is a bit over exaggerated, If you like the look of this rug don't hesitate to buy it!

I received this as a wedding present. It looks better online than in person. The green edging looks tacky on this carpet like it doesn't belong. I have to agree with others that it feels rough and uncomfortable. I will be exchanging for another rug.

I actually do not have a shedding problem with this rug. I like the thickness and texture. My only gripe is that the green is alot brighter than I imagined. The green really stands out.
