We bought this bookshelf to go along with our crib set. It is very nice and we are happy with it. Only problem: I was looking for an open bookshelf and thought this was open in the back, but its not. It is a closed bookshelf and has a white back. Because the back is white, the bookshelf looks open in the picture. We decided to keep the bookshelf, but not put the back panels on, however the back panels keep the bookshelf steady. My husband it going to try to put some brackets on the back so we can keep the back open and not have the bookshelf wobble. Hope it works because we really like the bookshelf and it goes nicely with our other expresso colored furniture.

I bought this thinking it was an open back bookcase. It turns out the rear panel is stark white in contrast to the beautiful walnut of the unit itself. I ended up having to buy paint to make the rear panel match the bookcase unit and cut holes in the rear panel for my wires to exit. Great product and quality, but they need to explain about the white rear panels more clearly.
