I used this tent maybe 6 times before and thought it was OK until two weeks ago when I was out in the desert with the wind blowing a mild 30 to 35 mph(not bad for the desert). What a mistake!!! In 15 minutes the poles were bent at the aluminum joints and I wound up having to sleep in the cab of a ford ranger with my 80 lb boxer. Not a real fun time although I did get to know my dog a whole lot better.

This tent doesn't even come to to a 0 star. It all started out when Me and by friend Chase were going to eat our lunch inside this tent and, well, lets just say this was a bad idea! The tent didn't stay to the ground and almost flew in our lake! Then, when we finally got it to the ground, one of the pole holders broke! What cheap material! Then we decided to try a dry run with his tent vs. my Wenzel Starlite. When we were finished, his tent was a swimming pool and mine was as dry as the Sahara. I am shocked that the people who make this company call themselves pro's when they make cheap tents for twice as much. Instead of this company, go buy yourself a tent from Coleman or Wenzel. After all, those companies are neck and neck to each other.

P.S. This is only a 2 person tent, not a 4 or 5.

I bought this at the store and it looked good. However after putting it up once, the fiberglass pole above the door broke. The fiberglass was weak and not stronge enough to keep the fly taunt over the door. As a result we had one minor rain shower which funneled all the water into the door and the floor of the tent. I would not recommend this tent at all.

This tent is a pretty good value. I haven't had any leaks yet; I did apply a quick coat of seam sealer during the first use.

My primary complaint is that the fly on the tent I received does not have a window panel. The only way to see the sky from inside the tent requires leaving the fly off. (I took off one star for the discrepancy.) The other complaint/comment would be that I've had a surprising amount of difficulty putting the fly on. It takes me more time to position the fly than it takes to put the tent itself up. This is problematic in wet weather.

Getting past the relatively unimportant fly issues, I've found this tent really simple to put up. I put it up alone, usually in less than 10 minutes (not including the time required to position the fly).

I bought this tent 5 years ago. I go camping in VT a few times a year, and this tent has been perfectly fine for the first few years. I can't complain TOO much.

It sets up easily enough, though you gotta work to get it back in the bag when packing it away.

I wish I could leave the fly off, but it rains so much overnight, I never get a chance to enjoy the mesh roof. The fly works fine for normal rain showers, but it's just not strong enough for the 5-hour torrential dounpours we get in VT. On my last trip a few weeks ago, the floor started seeping.

Time to call it quits on this one, I think.

As far as other people's Cons: A, yes, the zippers do get caught if you yank them. and B, they tell you the measurements of the tent, if it's not big enough, then who's fault is it?

The first time we used this tent it stormed the entire night and not only did the tent hold up, we were completely dry. Our friends had another tent and had puddles of water in theirs. We had enough room for a queen sized airbed and a few duffle bags. Overall, it is a great tent.

This tent is great for its value. Very easy to setup, you can have it up in 5 minutes. It is great for 2 adults or 3 kids. We had a blow up queen size air-mattress with enough room for bags in the foot area and large dog next to us. I highly recommend it.

Based on consumer reviews we chose this tent for our wedding registry. We got it in Sept 07 and used it a total of three nights since then. While taking down the tent the third night, the tent pole snapped. I called the number for warranty and waited on hold FOREVER, only to have the agent act as if trained to find loop holes out of the warranty for a part that costed nine dollars to replace! Finally, they agreed to comp the part, but I would still be responsible for shipping & handling. I was so disgusted at the whole thing that I told them to just forget it because I was going to buy a new tent. As the previous review said... you can get much better tents for a lot cheaper. Eddie Bauer is just a name because they outsource, both in manufacturing and warranty.

I bought this tent about three years ago because I wanted a lttle more room than the Kelty tent I already owned and I liked the footprint. I've used it about 6 or 7 times. No way it can fit 4 people, but it's more than enough for 1 person & a dog.
Last week I camped in the desert with high wind gusts and rain. The pole that supports the "extra room" bent and eventually broke from the sustained wind gusts. I wasn't too worried as it's easy to get a new tent pole. I was able to support the frame by attaching it to another structure, but additional wind gusts eventually caused the pole to rip through the sleeve. Then the rain came. It didn't rain that hard, but it did rain continuously. Rain somehow came in the doorway and seeped through the floor of the tent (even with a gound cover in place). I did manage to keep myself and my gear dry - no leaks in the seams or windows, but I expected better. I never had problems with the zippers, but the front door construction is strange. Impossible to open or close with one hand. Anyway, the tent is now in the trash and I already purchased a new Coleman tent (a brand that I trust for camping gear). I don't know who Eddie Bauer is licensing their brand to for tents, but it does not have the quality I expect from the Eddie Bauer name.
