NOT A LEASH!

my husband and mom were both embarrassed that I bought this for my 2 1/2 yr daughter. If you have a VERY high strung and stubborn kid like I do than this is perfect for you! She hates to ride in the stroller and darts out of your grip when you hold her hand. She lets me hold on to "her monkey tail" and it gives her enough freedom to be walking like a big girl and I can keep her within 3 ft of me. Its totally worth any ridicule b/c I know my daughter could possibly get hurt darting out in the parking lot or losing her in the store so I know she is much safer in this. I HIGHLY recommend.

I love this product. Although it's a little bulky, it looks just like Curious George (which adults and kids love) and has two snap closures that they can't undo easily. Tell your child the monkey helps mommy from getting lost and show them how they can "lead the way" while you hold on to the tail. Keep it in the car so you won't forget it when running errands and another in your suitcase for travel - affordable and absolutely indispensible.

I first saw this adorable Monkey Harness on a litle boy at a doctor's office. The little boy was with his grandparents. I went home and searched the internet for this harnes. My nephew and his wife have a new baby boy and they nicknamed him "Little Monkey." Hopefully that will change as he grows. Anyway, they used a lot of monkey decor in the baby's room, so I knew they would like this harness.
They loved it and can't wait for their baby to start walking so they can use it. Thank you, AJH

This item has nothing but 5 stars which means I can't live without it. I have twin boys that love the freedom of walking. They don't want mommy or daddy to hold them and a stroller is out of the question. We are traveling from Texas to Georgia this weekend and I thought this would be great for when we get out to stretch at rest stops, my boys can't run from me. I'll update my review when I get back! But judging by the previous reviews this will be a lifesaver for me and my twins!

I saw this on a boy at an amusement park and knew I needed one for my 3 year old son, who takes off from me with no warning. Coincidentally, a few days later my neighbor was telling me she bought this for her son for their trip at disney, but her son did'nt like it and did'nt end up using it. She offered to lend to me and my son had no problem wearing it, actually gave me a problem when I went to take it off! Bottom line- parents don't give it a second thought if you are considering this product. My child's safety is more important than getting a few stares from strangers!!

I have 19 month old twins and we bought each of them a harness for traveling in the airport. We did not want to bring our stroller, so this helped us still maintain control.
When we walked through the airport, they had the harness on, but we also held their hand so it didn't feel like they were on a leash. Then, while going through security, checking our bags, getting food, etc. the harness allowed us to use both of our hands while they were safe.
We won't use these all the time, but are must haves for traveling and the kids LOVE the little animals. They do get annoyed when they think they can freely walk and the harness pulls them back, but that's expected.

Keep your child safe

I ordered the Harness Buddy - Monkey because my son, who has Autism, frequently disappears in public places. I did resist buying it for some time as I was not eager to put my child on a "leash." Now when we go to the zoo or other busy place, I take the Harness along. It is comfortable and strong, holding up against my son's best efforts to remove it. The front clips are the kind that you have to use pressure on the top and bottom to disengage, way beyond his four years. Although I didn't expect this benefit, now I just show my son the harness and he will stay close to me to avoid having it put on.
I do get some looks while I am using the harness, but I know that I am doing what is necessary to keep my son safe so I don't worry about uninformed people.
I would recommend this to anyone who has a child that likes to run away. Using this is so much better than losing your child, even for a minute or two.

... the 2nd time my 3-year-old (who shoots off like a rocket, with no warning) figured out how to unclip it and take it off! So it's worthless now! The buckles need to be on the back or side or something, where a kid cannot reach it.

Our daughter likes her harness buddy so far (we've only used it once). I really like the fact that she doesn't have to be confined to her stroller or a store cart at all times. I do wish the leash attachment was located higher on the monkey (instead of at the bottom). We got some strange looks, but we also got tons of compliments.
