A great addition to any room October 14, 2005 Reviewer:  Misty See all my reviews >

We ordered this bench for our bedroom actually, instead of the entryway. It's a great piece of furniture. We are very pleased with the quality and durability. It was also very easy to assemble. Target did a great job getting it to us within the week that we ordered it. And there was free shipping! What a great find!

Nice weight, but cheap accessories May 9, 2007 Reviewer:  Dawn M. Van Brunt "Noah&GavinsMommy" Real Name (New Jersey)  See all my reviews >

I bought this after falling in love with the similar unit at [an upscale store], but didn't want to spend a lot of money.

The piece came with free shipping so we tried it! It was easy to put together and it's a pretty heavy/solid piece. The "antique/weathered look" is kinda cheaply done, looks like it was almost 'screenprinted' on. The baskets and cushions are terrible, horrible, look REALLY cheap! Recovered the cushions and threw out the baskets, they were splintering and falling apart.

I agree -- just okay July 28, 2006 Reviewer:  mom j (Houston, TX)  See all my reviews >

The bench is a good value in that it comes with the cushions and baskets included in the price; is pretty solid; and is easy to put together. The problem is that the distressed effect looks really bad/weird. It's almost as if someone just made dirty-colored smudges in a couple places. It would be better if it were just white.

I'm really pleased with the bench, I'm actually using it right under a window, not as an entryway bench. It is very sturdy and easy to put together, I thought it would sag when you sat on in, but it does have a little "foot" underneath it to prevent sagging. The cusions and baskets are nice and fit well, and I got it in 4 days and the shipping was free. The only thing I don't like is the "distressed" look. It looks as if someone smeared charcoal on it but the way I have it under my window you can't see it. Overall a great buy and I highly reccomend it.

I agree..just ok July 5, 2006 Reviewer:  J. Koehler "J Ko" Real Name (va)  See all my reviews >

Its ok. Its not antique white, its stark white with dull black streaks (kind of like smudged charcoal). I think I might paint it an off white. It was easy to put together. I did also buy the matching organizer shelf..and that's a whole different story.

Frustration February 7, 2007 Reviewer:  Carole M. Gerrity Real Name (Long Island)  See all my reviews >

I did not want to give any stars because I may be as happy as everyone else with this bench when and if the missing inserts for the connecting bolt ever arrive. The order arrived within forty-eight hours to my delight, but I was also distressed by the "distressing" when I opened the box. When I began to put it together, I thought that the holes were drilled wrong and I called the number on the instructions for help. A message told me that there would be no one at the help desk for three days. When I next called, before I could even explain my problem, I was told that there were inserts missing, which they obviously knew about, and they would send them to me. That was January 25th, and I am still walking around a pile of very large pieces of unassembled bench in my back entry hall. Twice I had to explain to guests and warn them to be careful. I am thinking of calling my credit card to cancel, but what will I do with the bench? I threw away the box the day I opened it. Any suggestions?

Solid as a rock January 9, 2008 Reviewer:  Christina Cowboy (Stamford, CT, USA)  See all my reviews >

This bench was easy to put together, came in a few days and wound up being a solid piece of furniture! The only drawback is that the cushions are pure white. The picture online is very deceiving, well at least it is when the cushions are displayed on the white bench. I probably would have still bought the bench but it would have been nice to know that before purchasing the item. Overall, the bench is worth the $200.

Big Bang for your Buck January 6, 2009 Reviewer:  momof2 See all my reviews >

The bench you receive is not the same as the picture...It's WAY better. A couple modifications have been made, and it is now IDENTICAL in appearance to the one at (PB), a high-end retail store. I didn't like the "feet" as shown in the picture, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received it that the feet are gone, and the bottom is now a more solid piece of wood. As other reviewers said, the cushions are horrible. I ordered a cushion from the other store (PB) rather than try to work with the ones that come with it. The cushions are an off-white/peach color and are very stiff. They fit the bench fine if you turn them the right way, so if you don't mind the color, they work. I almost spent 3 times as much to get the exact same thing somewhere else, so I am very pleased with this purchase. The bench is very durable, and as far as I'm concerned, very worth it if you can handle the weird cushions.

Good deal for the money. Slightly different than pictured. December 29, 2008 Reviewer:  Andrew (Quebec)  See all my reviews >

I bought this bench for just inside my front door. I am very pleased with this purchase.

The good:
A good price, especially with added 15% savings and free shipping. This is very sturdy. Easy to assemble (15 minutes), and all parts are labeled and fit together easily. Mine was slightly different than pictured: there is a shaped piece of wood on the front underneath the bottom board. It looks better than the picture.

Why this isn't perfect:
The cushions. The cushions look a little cheaper than in the photo and are slightly too "peach" in color for my tastes. We are going to put a sheet over them until we make proper covers. Also, there is about 8 inches of extra space and gaps on the top between the cushions. What we did was slide them all together and put another little 8 inch wide organizer basket thing we've got on one side.

Overall:
This is a good deal at a great price. Just be prepared to cover or do something about the cushions. Also, have someone on hand to help you move the box. It's big and heavy!
