Good, but with issues

I was not planning on co-sleeping until my daughter was born at 33 weeks. She's two months now and neither the crib nor bassinet were working out very well. I started co-sleeping with great results, but I was nervous about rolling on her. We also have a "fluffy" bed so that made me more nervous. I bought this item yesterday and used it last night. I give three stars for the following reasons:
1) The thing is so wide. I agree with Ben's Mom (another reviewer) that it takes up way too much room in the bed. We have a king beg too. I can't comfortably nurse on my side with it in the bed. I need to sit up and nurse.
2) It's kind of short. Though my little one is two months old, she is only 1 week adjusted age and only 7 pounds and 19 inches - the size of some regular newborns. She is almost too long for it. The good thing is that the end is softer, so I bet I could do some work with some scissors :)
3) The mattress is very hard.
On a positive note, I love that it folds up. I have found it very useful for her naps in my office where I only have a futon. I just put it on the futon and she sleeps away.
While in bed last night, it really DID work. If she started to fuss, I was able to calm her without getting out of bed.
I'd say it's a great idea, and will keep using it, but it has some design flaws. My hubby hates it in the bed.
If I weren't also using it in my office, I think I'd not keep it and get an Arm's Reach bassinet so that she could be right next to me but not with taking up so much room in the middle of the bed.

Does not stay level, baby slides.

I stopped using this. I still sleep with the baby in the bed (nervously) and am planning on buying a cosleeper instead. It doesn't stay level, so the baby slides toward you until she is bunched up in the corner. Also it is too much for a queen sized bed. Useless, really.

DO NOT BUY OR USE THIS PRODUCT!!! I received this sleeper as a shower gift and only used it for 3 nights before my 6 week old son fell out of our bed ONTO THE FLOOR while using it. The mesh at the foot of the sleeper is VERY weak! When my baby managed to squirm to the end during the night the flimsy mattress bent causing him to roll against the side of the sleeper. This is when I would expect the (pointless) mesh sides to protect him, keeping him contained, however they did not. He rolled right over the side falling onto the floor, landing on his back.
DO NOT RISK YOUR INFANTS SAFETY BY USING THIS PRODUCT!

This seems like a great idea for cosleeping parents to help with safety, but it took up too much room in the bed. We used it for one night and felt really crowded, much more so than w/just baby in bed, and we have a queen bed. I would purchase this only if you have a king or larger. It would be great in that situation.

THIS ITEM IS DANGEROUS!

We followed the directions precisely and had a very close call with this item. The sides are low and a single pillow may very easily slide over the infant's head. We contacted Target and the company to bring this to their attention to no avail. An investigator from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission filed a report and took ours away.
If using this, please be careful!

This baby bed was ok, but it was so small that our little one grew out of it within a month. Our little one didn't like it much either, it was too hard to lay on. I don't reccomend buying this item!

I love this sleeper! It fits perfectly between me and my husband, which is wonderful because it gives us a sense of security knowing that our little one is right next to us without the fear of rolling over on her! I love the night light that's in it too! It's really handy when breastfeeding or simply checking on your baby in the middle of the night because you don't have to get out of bed to turn on any lights! It's great!
I think it's definitely worth the price! Especially if you're a parent that's concerned about SIDS and don't want your baby too far away from you, then this sleeper is perfect!

We came across this by chance for our grandbaby while shopping for supplies right after he was born. My daughter used it for him often. For daily use it was so easy to move around the house, when going to visit family he had his own bed no matter where they went. Would recommend this as the perfect baby shower gift. First Years has some wonderful products for both babies and toddlers, never disappointed in anything we purchased from this company.

I really love having my little man next to me when sleeping and he likes it too. He would not sleep in his bassinet so we tried this he loves it. The only problem is at 2 months old 16 pounds and almost 24 inches he is getting to big for it. I really hate that and I am not sure what we are going to do. Wish it could work for us who have bigger babies!

I liked the idea of this sleeper, but wound up returning it to the store after half of a night of sleep. I have a queen size bed, but having this sleeper with my husband and I at night left us with hardly any room at all. I can see where this might be good for ONE adult in bed with the newborn, but two adults plus sleeper DOES NOT work out!
