Selina February 17, 2009 Reviewer:  Very pleased "Selina G." (North Providence, RI)  See all my reviews >

I love this pump. I had another kind that worked well for about a month. I replaced it with this one and it is MUCH quieter and I get twice the milk in half the time. Small, portable and nowhere near as loud!!! I would recommend it to anyone especially for the price.

Good pump, working just fine for me March 21, 2009 Reviewer:  S. Wilkerson Real Name (Tracy, CA)  See all my reviews >

I do not have any experience using the more expensive pumps, so I cant compare to those but this pump seems to work just fine for me. I bought this pump after buying a manual and it is nice to only need one hand. If I were to make a recommendation I would say to buy a double pump and maybe to buy one that was hands free. This one works just fine, but it fees like it would be easier to have the double pump.

Long-term use July 17, 2009 Reviewer:  narh (Southern MD)  See all my reviews >

Ok, so after reading the reviews, it seems I've been the one to use this thing the longest so far... I've had it for 3 months, and like most folks, bought it because it was inexpensive. I'm on my way today to buy another one because it has been losing suction for about a week or so, but I'd rather shell out the money over a period of time rather than $-at one time for an inexpensive one.

Another drawback is that at one point, I wasn't careful removing the breast shield and it pulled the skin off around the nipple because the skin stuck to it. However, I then put some lanolin on the shield for about a week or so before every pumping and I haven't had any problems since. Just be slow about removing the shield from the breast every time and you won't have this problem.

On the plus side: it's small and discreet, it works great moving through the different suction levels. Depending on my own production, I'm able to pump about 2-3 oz every 10 minutes (and this is current despite the losing suction issue I'm having now). Which is about the same rate as what my daughter drinks, so the earlier review stating that it only produced so much in a particular amount of time probably was due to either needing a higher suction level or her child's eating habits. Or she may have just not been producing that day.

I have found the breast shield to be extremely comfortable. With my first child, I used an expensive medela one and the shields were a hard plastic... I was so excited that the less expensive one provided a more comfortable material.

I love the travel bag it comes with, too. I just pack my lunch in it along with a book and I have just one cute little tote to take to work with me rather than needing several bags.

In short: It works just fine. For an inexpensive product, it's a good buy.

Im happy with it! worth the money. June 11, 2009 Reviewer:  mom of wild child and baby "Kris W" (Las Vegas)  See all my reviews >

I bought a different pump and it only worked for a few days so I bought this one as a replacement since I didn't want to get the same brand as the last one. I'm very happy with this one. It pumps perfectly. The only complaint I have is the breast shields. They are very floppy but customer service is very helpful and they sent me out some new ones for free. This is my 2nd the first years pump. I had the single one for my first child It worked great but a connection piece broke. I'm very happy with their brand. I haven't experienced and kinds of suction problems.

Lactation Consultant told me it was trash May 26, 2009 Reviewer:  A. Hipp Real Name (Kansas City, MO)  See all my reviews >

I ordered this because I thought it was a reasonable price for occasional use. My lactation consultant told me it was trash and to return it. I couldn't get much out of it and it damaged my nipples. In this instance I think it is better to spend a bit more and get something worthwile.

great pump for the price September 10, 2009 Reviewer:  snowfire555 (USA)  See all my reviews >

As a stay-at-home mom, I didn't need a pump that could handle multiple uses every day, just something I could use occasionally. The miPump is perfect for what I use it for. I haven't had any issues with suction & I get a decent amount each time I pump. The people who say they don't get hardly any milk may not be familiar with how pumping works - it isn't like squeezing water from a water bottle. And some people just tend to get more than others. If you are looking for an inexpensive option for occasional pumping, I'd definitely recommend this product!

Total bummer May 15, 2009 Reviewer:  aspiring chef See all my reviews >

At first this pump worked well and I loved that it was easy to transport, BUT after about 20 uses it started to loose suction. It would take 40 minutes to get 1-2 ounces, which is not practical. I went to look for replacement parts at target and they don't carry any for this pump. I would not recommend this product to anyone- even though it is affordable...save up more money and get a better pump. I am now going to have to buy another pump.

Better then hospitals pump! October 6, 2009 Reviewer:  New mom "Janis A" (Loveland, CO, USA)  See all my reviews >

I recently had twins who wouldn't latch so I used the hospitals pump because I wanted to breast feed. After getting home from the hospital I rented the same pump from the county, now moving out of state I needed a pump to take with me. I didn't have much money and the reviews for this pump over all seemed good so at midnight I ran to the store and bought it! Best move I ever made! There is no pain!(for me at least)This pump isn't much louder then the hospitals, and much more compact! My only complaints are I wish the shield had a smaller hole and that I can not pump into normal sized bottles. I do love it only being a single pump though because one hand is always free. I would recommend to anyone!!!
