We loved the cradle swing when it first came out with our son. He lived in it! When we saw this cute pattern and style we thought the new idea of Ipod would be great for our new twin boys...But, the speaker blew out after two weeks and you could hear the swing through the speaker. The chair is also not as wide (as original cradle swing) and awkward in the upright and lower position. The baby was always leaning over on his side in the upright position. The lower position is pretty much like a bed position. The mobile does not rotate or make noise like the other fisher price cradle swings. It also does NOT have the extra toy bar for babies as they get older. Stick with the older versions.

Not Worth the money

This is a very cute looking swing,BUT it sucks. After only 1 day it would not swing and sounded like it was really struggling to do the little bit of swing that you could get out of it. I also spoke witha Fisher Price rep and they will only replace the swing with another one of the same model. They will send you a call tag to send the iteam back to them, but you have to find a box it will fit in and then wait to recieve the new one. I don't know about other Moms but I can't wait around for a new swing that will end up not working anyway. My son will be grown out of it by the time it gets here. Again not worth the money.

My wife and I ordered this swing since we aren't huge fans of standard, cutesy-print baby gear. It looks great, but the basic functions don't work right: The seat tilted to the left when it was in motion. The speed control was useless - the lowest setting was WAY too fast for our kid. And the speaker/music component is a joke. It comes pre-loaded with some cool, modern-sounding tunes, but again, the lowest volume setting was entirely too loud, and the speaker is aimed directly down at the occupant's head. Once the swing would reach its cruising speed, the speaker would start to "POP" loudly about every 15 seconds or so. And somehow the speaker amplified the swing-arm mechanism. Altogether very frustrating. If you ordered this thing and are considering returning it, we called one of our local stores and they told us to bring it in (even though the Web site was instructing me that I would have to ship it back). So - give your local store a call first. We're getting the F-P Swing and Rocker Woodland Animals model as a replacement...

Thank God for this swing! I dont know about all the complains from other people, the fabric is soft and the head rest is great! it is not intended to be a head support so no it will not hold your baby UP, it's a head rest people! It swings great in both directions, side to side-front to back. Maybe get new batteries for those who say it swings to slow, the speed setting I have it on the fourth light all the time and it's the right speed for my baby. The speakers are never too loud and I love that I can hook up the baby's iPod to it and play his baby einstein music that luls him to sleep in a heart beat. I've had this since my son was born used it for 3 months now and still haven't had to replace the batteries, he uses it twice a day, one for a 3 hr nap and the other for a 2 hr nap...

I read the other reviews, and despite the negative reviews decided to get it anyway because I hate tacky-looking baby gear. This swing is junk! I first purchased it in June, and have since bought/exchanged two more while holding out hope that it might be a fluke, and it will still work out. All (3) swings have done the same thing. Minor issue, the speaker "pops", and has woken up my barely sleeping baby...not fun. Major issue, it swings like a inch sometimes! It gets off track and makes the noise of swinging, but my son is only moving a inch or two in either direction. Sometimes if you turn it off it will reset itself. Bottom line, a stylish looking swing that doesn't even do it's job for the first kid, definately won't make it through several kids. This isn't exactly a cheap swing either. I am now going to take my own advice and order a slightly tacky but hopefully completely workable swing.

I was happy to finally find a swing that wasn't so corny looking and had more of a modern footprint, yet still very fun and colorful! Overall I am happy with the product except for two things: the music player "pops" between prerecorded tunes (but thankfully this doesn't seem to bother my son, even during naps) and second, occasionally the swing seems to "go off track" and will stop rocking (but it hasn't happened lately). Other than that I like that the swing can be used in two positions (cradle and seated) and I love the iPod capability (I have a lot of Rockabye Baby Lullaby Renditions by various artists loaded into it). Despite the slight annoyances, my son seems to enjoy the time he spends in it! The swing is very stable and I feel that he is safe in it.

My son was a preemie and came home from the NICU at almost four months old (1.5 months adjusted). He was easily stressed out by the front to back swinging, but loved the side to side swinging--so glad we could easily switch to side to side. He is now 6.5 months old and takes two naps a day in this swing--it puts him right out! We don't use the built in music very much (I can't stand any of the music on his gear) but we do use the nature sound effects and the MP3 player. Weirdly enough, after more than two months, we are still on the original set of batteries! I also got the matching bouncy seat. I don't know how we would have survived without these two items.

First off I would give this swing a "0 stars"
My daughter is nearly 3 months and we are on our 2nd swing! And you guessed it- it's broken.
I would never recommend this product to anyone. It has done the same thing twice now....it works great for about 2-3 weeks then the music goes completely out (static while swinging) then the actual swing won't swing anymore. Even when I have replaced the batteries and put it on the highest level. My daughter is a normal sized baby and we have used the swing properly.
So now I'm going to have to contact the manufac. instead of taking it back to the store. I'm hopeful I'll get my money back bc $ is too much to throw away...

My 7 week old daughter loves, loves, LOVES this swing!! When nothing is working to soothe her, we just plop her in and she will sit there for some time just observing quietly. We initally purchased this for the front-to-back and side-to-side swinging capabilities and also for the unisex colors for later use with a boy. When one swinging way doesn't seem to be working we can easily switch her to the other. Ours does seem to lean to the left but that does not affect it's swinging. (I thought it might be because I always place her on the left side to prop her up against the side.) The only complaint I have is, it would be really nice if the mobile turned or moved in some way. Other than that, awesome swing!!!

I have a 7 week old baby that seems to really enjoy the swing and has found it comforting many times in his short life span thus far. The only complaints I would register is that the battery life is not very long and it would be helpful to have extra head support as my guy was very small when born and his head seems to go from side to side if I do not put a blanket or some other additional support in the seat with him.
The swing has a hook up for ipod which is a neat feature and we like that it will swing both back and forth and front to back. I would recommend this swing to friends!
