Bought this for our 13 month old who loves Elmo. Had to play with it ourselves to make sure that it was worth the price... and we loved it. He is super cute and has so many phrases that it should keep her going for quite some time. I wish that they would make them more soft for hugging... he looks cuddly but really its a computer with some fur. That is the only draw back I see... besides the price and people buying them and selling them is sick and wrong.

Our 18 month old son likes Elmo OK. It's rather a frustrating toy for us all because it continually falls down and "asks" to be picked up. It's voice is loud - it has to be to be to be heard over the loud mechanical noises the toy makes during movement. Our first one lasted two weeks before failing to operate properly, and our second one has lasted one week and now stops mid-sentence without fail.

Elmo falls down constantly. The mechanical noises he makes when he moves are creepy and loud. He does say many different things, but repeats the same 3 things more than any of the others, which is annoying. you can hardly hear him talk over the mechanical noises. Not at all cuddly. Its a cute toy and my daughter does love it. she's 2 by the way, this was a gift from her uncle for her bday in november. she loves it, i dont HATE it, but i think they could lower the price a bit. falls over a lot! but asks you "uh oh elmo fell down, can you please pick elmo up. you're elmos best friend".

I first saw this Elmo during a service call at my job! And had to buy it for my son,(ok for me really) my son is too young for the toy, he is only 7 months! But Elmo live is truly a great toy for any child or grown adults! My wife says that i bought it mostly for myself, Shhhh don't tell my wife, but she is right! LOL LOL

My 15 mos old daughter received this for Christmas and absolutely fell in love with it. She even learned how to blow kisses! Our only complaint was that after a month of operating it for my daughter on the kitchen counter during meal times (recommended age is 18 mos and up), Elmo started locking up. I assumed it was the batteries, so I replaced them and it still didn't work right. Luckily, Grammy still had the receipt so we took it back to Target and they exchanged it for another. Sadly, after another month the new Elmo started locking up too. I returned that one for my money back. It is a great entertaining toy but is not durable and my daughter never even played with it. Too many mechanics make it too delicate. I would not waste your money!!!

We got this for our son for Christmas and he likes it, he's 15mths now, but he would watch Elmo do something, get all giddy with joy, then toss him, I mean literally. I don't think it's because he doesn't like him, but he's so busy now that he can walk faster that he just wants to be moving. He goes from toy to toy like he's at Curves, station to station and he keeps it moving! I have to say though, my husband and I adore Elmo and find him very entertaining! He does make mechanical noises, but that's only natural, I mean he's not real! If you're looking for a huggable toy, this isn't your toy either, buy a stuffed animal because this Elmo is hard since he's a "robot", he's strictly for entertainment purposes, like a stand-up comedian, just watch and listen to him and laugh!! I love squeezing his nose! Hahahaha! A delightful toy overall and I know as my son gets older, he will appreciate him more and more.

I bought elmo for my daughters 1st b-day she loves it!!!! Can't let her hold it cuz she wants to squeeze and hit it and tries to stick her fingers in his mouth. Elmo is very funny, never falls down!!! but he does squat alot. She loves when he sings his get on up song. A little pricey but worth it.Also he dose need to be on a flat surface to work good I love it to!!!!
